The trek to Af-Terr from the railway station is a little grueling at first. You wind your way up the streets and stairwells and follow some pretty poor instructions. However, we arrived early in the morning and thankfully there was a room already waiting for us. We stayed in the private room which was really small... but otherwise comfortable.
The hostel is in a great location... the street outside turns into the cafe/bar district at night. The main street is also only about 2 minutes away. Couldn't of asked for a better location.
They have a washing machine for a steep fee, and a serviceable kitchen. Definately could use a real good cleaning though. The internet (and wifi) was free and fast and the common area was comfortable.
The bathrooms were a little congested... and a little grimy but I think it had more to do with the other guests at the time rather than the hostel itself.
Finally, the staff was friendly enough but hardly ever there. We had some questions but finally just resorted to the internet as the staff was nowhere to be found.
Cheap, barebones and could be awesome with a few changes. We'd stay again though if we come back. Make sure you head to the other side of town if you come to Belgrade for a couple of days. Take a bus to Gardos.
