Pension Travelling Actor

We had a 2-night-long stay there. A short but really good stay. the pension is in a real nice area, 10 minutes walk from the main street knez mihajlova, but the zone itself is a reference point for the nightlife in belgrade, as the same road is full of reastaurants, kafanas, pubs and music bars. The building may appear a little old-fashioned from out-side, but inside the accomodation is really cute and cozy. Our room was at the ground floor, looking directly at the street,so the landscape is rather good. The room itself is really well kept, the beds were comfortable, and most of the noise does not enter the room during the night. the staff was really kind and polite with us. the price was reasonable, also considering the really good breakfast given in the reasturant next to the pension, which brings the same name (travelling actor). Definetly a very good choice for an accomodation. I recommend it specially for business or couple journeys.
Just one little info with bathroom: be careful dosing hot water while having shower, the temperature increases really quick and it's burning.

The accommodation is basic but clean and comfortable and the location in the heart of the old town is superb. The staff were incredibly friendly, helping us arrange travel to the airport and generally being hospitable and helpful, which made our experience all the more enjoyable. There is some noise on the street facing rooms but we weren't planning on an early night so this didn't bother us at all. My mother and I would happily stay here again on our next visit to the city.

Superb location, you will enjoy nice music entertainment till late at night.
Good service, lavish breakfast, nice waiters.
The nearest parking is some 5 minutes on foot although I was recommended another one not that close.

I have stayed in Belgrade 3 times, for festivals/conferences. I will return to Travelling Actor above the other (more expensive hotels) for sure.

The location cannot be beat : right in the Old Street part of town, with access to restaurants, bars and clubs. Short walk to Dom Omladine convention centre. Others were jealous of the location when I pointed up and showed them where I was staying.

Travelling Actor arranged to have me picked up at the airport by staff (who worked at the restaurant below) and he was very prompt and friendly.

I stayed in a King Bed room, which had room around the (huge) bed, a nice big TV and a desk. Also additional room in a foyer area. So the rooms aren't as small as other Euro hotels.

Wi-Fi was free and reliable.

Bathroom was comically small, but nicely maintained - the shower shot water all over the bathroom, due to odd placement of the shower head. This might concern some people - but if you've stayed in an older place in Paris, it's luxurious by comparison.

The pension Travelling Actor is located in the heart of the serbian capital right on the Bohemian street. Even if the first impact could not be so nice, the building seems to be old and not in good conditions, entering the pension the impact changes into a plesant homely atmosphere. Everithings is well cared. The rooms are not too big but warms and very clean.
The staff is superb Mrs Jelena (Hellen) is always at your disposal, very kind and helpful. Breakfast good, due to the number of rooms, it is not a buffet breakfast but it is served "a la carte" the quality of food is high: I drunk a cappuccino as good as in Italy. I also eat in the restaurant of the pension, the prices are higher than the average in Belgrade but the food is good and worths the expense.
I really suggest this accomodation for those who want to stay in the center of the old city and do not want to spend a lot of money without giving up the confort, the cleanliness and the warm hospitality. Do not expect a 4 or 5 stars Hotel but something better than a pension!!!

A perfectly clean and comfortable room, overlooking the live traditional music playing right outside at the outdoor restaurants until 1 am, which didn't trouble me - a night owl. When the staff learned I'd be heading out before breakfast was served at 7, they kindly made me some sandwiches for the road. Although they don't have parking, for a small "present" to the security guard, I was able to park my car inside the gated street, right outside.

Pension Traveling Actor is a nice place to stay. Its very well located and adequately furnished and ample rooms with good WiFi. For example, room 11 is a full apartment with two large flat screen Sony Bravia TVs: one for the bedroom and another for the living room. The room is full of sunlight and has ample windows with a large desk to work. The main limitations of this hotel are: 1. The reception is only open for two shifts. So, if you cannot be reached at your room phone if called after 10PM, nor is there any body to help if you should need it. 2. Breakfast starts to be served at 9AM--if specially requested, it can be provided at 8, but not earlier. 3. There is loud music played in the restaurant below, so despite the double glazing and the wooden shutter you can hear this music (at least in room 11) well passed midnight.
So, if you don"t mind not having an active reception after 10PM, are up till over midnight and hence do not need to have breakfast before 9AM, this hotel offers great value. Again, great location, comfortable clean rooms and friendly management.
