“Great location but limited car access”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2014

Great central location, especially if you want to go out and reach the city center. The rooms are nicely decorated and seem newly furnished and very clean. The staff is very friendly.
However if you need a park it is quite difficult - you would need to use public garage and walk ca 500m to the hotel.
If flying probably the best value for money in the city (last time I stayed in Hotel Balkan so I have some local benchmark - at the same price level was not even close match to Belgrade Art....)

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2014 via mobile

My friend and I visited Belgrade for a long weekend. We didn't know the city at all so we chose BAH for its location and it didn't disappoint! It's located on a busy shopping street so it was a great starting point and felt very safe to walk back to from a night out.
We were welcomed very warmly by Danijela who was WONDERFUL! I can't praise her enough, I would recommend the hotel because of her as she was the highlight! She was positive, went out of her way to advise us where we should go, eat and do in the short time we were there, even though it was Easter she reassured us that this place or that place would be open, which was fantastic! She marked out the map she offered so well with routes and names of restaurants and bars which was very useful!
Our room was small but comfortable and quiet (room 204) the TV was difficult to operate as the remote was slow, and the safe was missing batteries so we decided not to use it. Internet was not good at all, we kept logging in again and again which was tiresome and the signal was weak. Breakfast was ok, they didn't have English breakfast tea or black tea, just earl grey and I'm a big tea drinker so had coffee instead, they have a coffee machine. There's a cafe that serves waffles at the entrance of the hotel, we didn't try it but the aroma of waffles was everywhere. We arrived and left using the hotel taxi service which was very comfortable and efficient. I would stay at BAH again because of Danijela and the location :)

I enjoyed very much my first stay in Beograd and was very happy with my choice as soon as I arrived. The hotel is situated in the most vibrant street of Beograd and close to all sights. Hotel is new, clean, staff is very friendly. Choices for breakfast were many from meat to fruit. There is a small cafe with Belgium waffles which is a must, you won't need dinner afterwards.

I stayed two nights at this hotel for a business trip in March 2014.

This is what I liked:
1. Very convenient -- right on the main boulevard / pedestrian zone.
2. Easy to get to the sights -- the fortress and churches, theater, and interesting neighborhoods.
3. Very helpful staff -- everything with a bright smile and a welcoming energy!
4. Stylish room -- understated but elegant outfitting of the rooms.
5. Nice conference area for our meetings.

This is what I did not like as much:
1. Shower is either too small (or maybe I need to lose 15 kilos!) :-)
2. The breakfast buffet was just average -- I had expected a larger variety, but perhaps this is normal in this part of Europe.

Fantastic hotel in the pedestrianised centre of the city. Short walk from the castle. Many restaurnts and bars nearby.
Very friendly staff.
Taxis cannot drive to the front door but it is only a short walk to the pick-up or drop off points. The hotel can order taxis for you.
Internet in the rooms is OK

Dear guest,

Thank you for your positive review of Belgrade Art Hotel.
We are glad to read you have enjoyed your stay at Belgrade Art Hotel and we are glad you loved the location.

Knez Mihailova street is main pedestrian zone in Belgrade, so therefore vehicles are not allowed to enter the street, as well as taxi drivers. However, as you mentioned, it takes only one minute walk to reach the closest taxi station and our bellman stands at guest services at all times to provide any kind of help.

We are looking forward to having a chance to host you again.

Location, location, location! Wherever you travel, it's all about location. This amazing hotel is situated in the heart of Belgrade, in the Knez Mikhailova street. Since it's in the pedestrian zone, your taxi can't drive you right to the hotel, you'll have to walk a bit. However, you risk to pass it by if you don't look up - but here is a hint for you: first you see a drug store and then a cafe: the entrance is through a small cafe, so you can find it just by the smell of waffles which you can also get for breakfast.

Apropos breakfast: it's worth a separate line - it's amazing! We stayed at the BAH over the weekend to find out that the breakfast wasn't the very same on the next day, which was a kind of surprise taking into account the moderate pricing of the hotel.

Rooms are freshly decorated, the bed is comfortable, the only down side would be the bathroom - shower cabine is open so you end up with the wet floors all over the place. Oh and the fact that they actually ran out of Evian (or didn't refresh our minibar).

All in all, it was one of the best stays of my life, I'll definitely come back!

As for the cuisine of the local restaurant Mosaic, I wasn't very thrilled. Chef seems to be experimenting far too much yet the simple things might be the best.

Situated in the central pedestrian area of Belgrade, this hotel is ideal to discover the old town. Very much in design spirit with elegant rooms and a nice restaurant, it is not pretentious but very good and the staff are good and helpful. Definitely worth a stay
Just one point to be careful. The taxi will drop you off at the entrance of the pedestrian area and it can be difficult to find. Don't go looking for big hotel sign. I am not the only person to have walked past it without seeing it!
