“Quiet location”
Reviewed 24 August 2011

We arrived in Belgrade without any plan and this was the first hotel we found. We stayed only for a night and we had only breakfast there. The breakfast is good. The room is OK, nothing special, maybe the view to the park (trees). It was very clean. The personal at the reception is friendly and helpful. There is a money exchange machine, which was very helpful for us, although the exchange rate is better in the town at the exchange office. At the exchange office be careful at the commission fee! Near the hotel is the bus station to the center. You can buy tickets from the bus driver, but there are twice expensive than from the news stand.

The hotel is located in a quiet and 'leafy' suburb of Belgrade, about 20-25 mins bus or tram ride from city centre. The trams into the city drop you near Trg Slavija road roundabout (2 stops past the Church) and then another 15-25 minutes walk to the main centre and pedestrian area, and further to the Park and Fortress.

The Hotel is surrounded by trees and appears quiet and relaxed. Reasonable sized rooms which look either over the rear of the hotel and trees, or the front car park and road. The rooms were clean and comfortable, decent bathroom and standard of decor and furnishings. Buffet breakfast was good and fair choice.

Spacious lobby area and helpful staff.

Buses stop outside the Hotel into city centre Nos 42 & 43, or walk down the street opposite the Hotel to the next major road to get Trams 9 or 10 into city centre. Be careful on return after dark, its very easy to miss the stop to get off at! Bus and tram tickets available adjacent to the Tram Stop from a Kiosk on Vozdovac.

Despite being some distance from the city centre, it is a quiet location and would consider staying here again.

Location: a bit far from the city center, only two bus-lines connect it to center. Otherwise, behind the hotel is a small forest, which is good.
Building: infinished in many places, non-intuitive, looks a bit improvised. On firts impression-a bit dissappointing.
Staff: didn't have much contact, but they don't seem to want to make an impression. I would say average.
Rooms: a bit smaller than expected, but with free high-speed internet, which makes a good compensation. Also: a separate air-condition which is controlled by the occupant, which is good.
Bathroom: somewhat cramped, but OK.
Cleanliness: OK in the rooms. The walls seem to need new coat of paint. In the hallway the carpets could be cleaner and with oess dust.
Breakfast: very average buffet. The fruit juice is more water than juice. The traditional Serbian pies are tasty, but sometimes can be too salty. The view from the breakfast area is towards the forest, which is fine.

This hotel is very simple and average, nevertheless with very clean rooms and decent breakfast and lunch. Housekeeping was flawless and waiters in the restaurant were friendly and attentive. However, hotel staff in general is not proficient in English and one can encounter difficulties in communicating. There is nothing to do in the hotel other than sleeping, eating and attending business meetings.

Room was quiet. Electrical plugs had universal feature--no adaptor needed. The tram is just one block over so you do not need to take a taxi downtown. The helpfulness of the staff varies with whomever is there.

A very nice hotel, let down somewhat by its remote location. Although it is in a nice neighbourhood it is a way out of the city, but taxis are very cheap – only 420 Dinars from the City (less than £4).

The rooms are very spacious, with a really comfortable bed, a very nice working area, and lounge chairs as well as desk chairs. The TV has many channels – including CNN and BBC World. Free cabled internet is available in the room.

Check in was good – with one very friendly man, but I can see why his colleague might be described as dour, as she focussed on her computer screen.

Stayed for 3 nights for a seminar at the University of Belgrade nearby. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Their English is sufficient. Although it is not in the center of the city, a taxi ride of 15 minutes will get you there. Taxi price can, however, range from about 500 dinars to 1000dinars depending on the taxi you get. The hotel gave us a taxi number (Pink Taxi) to call when we need one, but the person handling the call are usually not fluent in English and hung up on me a couple of times. One taxi got to where I was but picked up another person instead.
