I recommend this hotel definitely ! It's only 3 minutes walk from the city center, and 5 minutes walk to the river and best clubs !

Room Tip: Rooms on the lover floors

When we first arrived at the hotel there were staff who opened the front door for you and welcomed you. We actually thought we had come to the wrong hotel as we couldn't believe you got that kind of service for the price we paid! The staff remained helpful for our entire stay.

The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet - although the air con unit did sound like it was about to take off when you turned it on. Very big buffet breakfast which is included in the price.

It is only a 5 minute walk to the main tourist strip but there are also a couple of restaurants right outside. Would definitely stay here again!

Spent 3 nights here. As our plane was delayed for 6 hours, we arrived at 3am but no problem to check in. We were upgraded to a suite for free which was fabulous. The room was huge and very clean, tv in the bedroom and the living room with lots of english shows. Had some problems with reception on one of the tvs but not too bad. Room was quite hot. Aircon only in the bedroom, opened living room windows which let in noise but didnt bother me as im a heavy sleeper (i slept on the couch). Hotel was in a great location, plenty of places to eat nearby and a 24 hour corner store close. I didnt enjoy the breakfast at all, the cooked stuff was awful and the bread not nice. Coffee and cereal were good though. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
I would recommend staying here, and if im in belgrade again i will be staying at this hotel.

I stayed here in March as I was attending a meeting in the hotel. I stayed on the first floor in a large room with a good sized clean bathroom. The bedroom had two singles and a small minibar with great value beverages at 2 euro or less a pop. The beds were ok, fine for me after a day's travel. Wireless was available throughout hotel.

Décor is dated and strictly stuck in the socialist era. Staff are courteours and do speak English. There are also a lot of young trainee staff.

The best was the location and value for money, at 60 Euro including an adequate breakfast per person, it is really a bargain as you are less then 5 minutes from Kneza Mihaila , Belgrade’s main pedestrian shopping street. There are also exchange offices, and small corner shops close by. I did not use any public transport or taxis, however there always seemed to be a number of cabs outside the hotel.

All in all, it is cheap for a single, and fine for that. If there are two of you and you do want some luxury (rather than strictly functional) look elsewhere. If you are on a weekend break I would also go for something a bit nicer.

Room Tip: Try lower floors, I heard from colleagues that higher floors ahve smaller rooms, some of which are a...

Close to city and Kale Megdan. Silent location and reasonable prices. Inside needs to be renovated.

Whenever I go to Belgrade, this is my preferred hotel. My wife and I originally chose it for the most superfluous of reasons, the impressive facade, especially at night! It has turned out to be extremely functional for us as a base for walking the pedestrian mall (Knez Mihailova), going to the opera near Trg Republika, and hitting the nightlife of Skadarlija.

The lobby is small, but functional and the same with the lift. There usually is someone at the desk who understands English, but if there isn't just be prepared to leave your passport (as with all hotels in eastern europe) so they register you with the police. Holdover from communist days I guess.

The rooms, to be honest, have seen better days and are minimalist by western standards, but the beds are comfortable and it is generally quiet thanks to it's location off the main streets (unlike Hotel Moscow or Hotel Tas where I have stayed when the Palace is full). TV has quite a few channels and even though the channels are Serbian, the imported shows are generally in English with Serbian sub-titles (cheaper than dubbing).

Our favourite part of the Palace is breakfast (included in the rate like most Serbian hotels) which is fantastic! Pastries, cured meats, cheeses, eggs, and much more make it the best in the city.

All in all, this is a good place to stay that is convenient to the major attractions of Belgrade.

Just as a note, if you drive, you can park under the hotel for 18 Euros if you don't want to keep buying the parking tickets on the street, or want to ensure nothing bumps your car.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the front of the hotel (nicer outlook).
