It's an expensive place, but the staff and management have no idea how to run a modern restaurant. First, I was refused the chance to try the wine before I bought an expensive glass (the bottle had already been opened so I wanted to ale sure it was fresh). It wasn't, but because the warier made such a big deal (we don't offer tastes!), I drank it.
The food was fine, if expensive, but the waiter disappeared and I had to talk to the bartender or another waiter fora refill.
Still, the food was okay so I was ready to give a 20% tip when I noticed they had already added a tip - for one person! It was 10% and minuscule, but the idea of the restaurant deciding the tip for an individual diner is offensive and counterproductive.
With better training and policies from the 21st century, this could be a nice restaurant. As it is, it feels like a tourist trap - soviet service and mandatory service fee. I won't be returning.
As a nice finale, the waiters got into a cursing fight right in front of me before I left. On a different matter, but a terrible way to end a night.
