We had a great meal for a group of eight in a separate dining room (there is a sliding door to separate from the rest of the restaurant). In such a biggish group we have ordered pretty much all the important options from the menu, plus a few that were not on the menu :-) Some main courses were better than others, but overall the level was consistently high. One disappointment was "chicken Kiev" (from a not on the menu list) - the chef is reputedly famous for it, but the end product has not lived up to expectations. All other meat-based options were terrific (rack of lamb, duck, etc.)
Service was attentive and helpful, we got quite a lot of information from the waiters when making our choices. The wine list is not very long but sufficient; beers are good too.
There was not a big crowd on the night, so the fact that my original phone reservation got lost in the system did not matter, there were plenty of tables. The price is rather high for Kiev, but you do get a meal that is not out of place in any other European capital. Note that you are likely to get a heavy discount and even a souvenir of sorts if paying by cash. Another possible reason for not having the place full - people in Kiev might remember Dnipro as one of the infamous Intourist joints, so until 1990 only foreigners were allowed to this particular restaurant. Hence it's not on a radar for local population... Plus the guys do not advertise themselves particularly well. The website has pictures of some of the dishes instead of a proper menu; and that website is rather hard to find!
