“Nice little park”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2013

Not a ton to see here, but the staff are friendly and it's a nice place to walk around and get some green in your life. Attached to a nice nursery where you can purchase all kinds of plants.

“Average gardens but useful to kill time”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 March 2013 via mobile

These gardens are located in the middle of a industrial area. It only costs a dollar to get in but elsewhere in the world a garden of this standard would be free. The giant bamboo area is worth a look but other than that I found the experience very average. Worth going if you have an afternoon to kill or if you have an interest in plants.

“Surprise Sanctuary in the City”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2013

This is a great place to take a break from the city. Although there can be noises from surrounding factories, it's like entering a new world. The plants are well maintained and the variety is wonderful. There are a number of benches and bridges and hangout spots to make for a relaxing visit. The cost is only $1 and definitely worth the price. A great place for a rejuvenating afternoon and a nice escape from the craziness of El Salvador.

“Natural Beauty”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2013

The gardens are a massive protected area within the busy city. We spent more than two hours there, even with a small child. There are massive bamboos, ponds with giant fish, and other impressive plants. It was more fun than I thought it would be.

“Relaxing rainforest feel inside a dormant crater”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 December 2012

The La Laguna park is located inside a huge dormant crater, and is bordered by the forested cliff of it, creating a beautiful landscape in a protected area. The park is within the metropolitan area of San Salvador, and offers a nice afternoon trip for families. Local plants are identified with plaques, and the trails are ample and well illuminated. Some small cafeterias are inside, and the surrounding neighborhood offers great typical food venues. Worth a visit, as is a short trip there, and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
