Situated reasonably central (Managua has no centre!), this hotel was perfect for the middle range traveller. $55 per night for a single room was perfect, and the rooms have aircon, cable tv, with an en suite bathroom. It has a pool, which was perfect as it was hot, and the beers were cold. Managua is not a city for tourists, but this hotel was all we needed. The staff were very friendly, and the free breakfast was a Nicarauan classic, eggs, rice and beans, with dry cheese. Unfortunately, the toast was inedible, and the coffee bordering on undrinkable.......however, having passed through Nicaragua many times over the last 29 years, this was an improvement for the mid range tourist!

Although we had several emails from the hotel before arriving in Managua they did not follow through. A hotel taxi was to meet our late night bus arriving from Guatemala, this did not happen. When we arrived at 1:30 am we were told there was a problem with the water and they were sending us to another very nice hotel. The other hotel was not very nice, we were given a room full of beds, it was not very clean. At 6:30 am we were rudely awakened by the front desk's phone ringing and loud voices. There was no garden, no pool. The price was more than we had been quoted.
Others staying in the hotel had similar stories. These hotels are running a bit of a scam.

Room Tip: Try a different hotel.

This hotel is very cute. It is situated in a residential area. It has a pool, a small restaurant and rocking chairs and you immediately feel like you're at home. The room itself has a safe and the hotel has 24 hour security. The staff go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. All the staff speak English. The hotel has free Wi-Fi which is amazing. My daughter and I were able to Facebook our family back home every day.

I had booked 7 nights with my 17 year old daughter but after 3 nights of not sleeping very well, decided to move up a grade and changed hotels. This hotel can be very quiet or very noisy. In my case, our room was facing the pool and area where people sit and chat until all hours of the night.

This hotel is good if you need a quick place to stay but I would not recommend staying longer than 2 or 3 nights. You get bored very easily because the hotel is so small.

I can't say I would return personally but would recommend the hotel nevertheless, if you are on a strict budget and need a safe place to stay.

Room Tip: Rooms away from pool area are best.

The hotel building is kinda old. The deco and outlook is a bit dated but still not bad. The rooms are spacious but one we found too smoky so we changed. Some staff were pretty helpful than others. The location isn't the best but felt safe to walk to this local restaurant one staff recommended. Overall not bad consider the price is quite affordable.

What makes the hotel great , is the service from the staff . The team of people become your friends , rather than service providers. Luis, Ernesto, Irving , Nubia and the rest of the team ensure you have a great stay. The hotel itself is value for money , as it provides all the essential necessities. I would highly recommend it.

A couple buddies of mine stayed at Hotel Mozonte while on a trip to Nicaragua. The hotel is nice, the rooms are clean and the hotel staff was there to assist you with whatever you needed. They offer free breakfast each morning which was good and also offers a computer in the lobby to access the internet. The hotel has a swimming pool and restaurant that serves lunch and dinner (not free). The hotel sits in a residential area and there is nothing within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel staff suggest that guest do not walk the streets and insist we take a taxi when we go out. There are a few good restaurants and a grocery store nearby (next to the Hilton Princess). The hotel arranged a taxi driver to take us to Masaya Volcano and to Granada on a day tour which was nice. I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Mozonte and would recommend it.
