A lovely little place in a safe, quiet, residential area. There is a small pool, air conditioning, TV and hot water in the showers. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. We were a little disappointed when we first arrived and realised there was no bar and the only food served was the included breakfast - but then the staff told us we were only a 5 minute walk from a whole street full of cafes and restaurants - problem solved!

Room Tip: A room in the main house is definitely quieter. When we were there, there was a group of young peop...

We have stayed at this wonderful family owned Hotel in Managua twice so far, June, 2012 and November, 2012. It is located in a quiet neighborhood. The service is great, and most of the staff speak and understand English. The rooms are simple, no luxury items. There is air conditioning and TV with English channels from Miami. There is a wonderful pool to relax by, and lush trees and flowers everywhere. They also offer wi-fi service throughout the hotel. It is a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The meals are outstanding. The fresh fruit is delicious. The water is purified and safe for anyone to drink. I can not think of a better place to stay. It is wonderful to support the local families and economy instead of the hotel chains. I highly recommend staying at this great place if you visit Managua.

Room Tip: The only room I don't recommend is the room behind the breakfast area if you are a late sleeper.

We stayed at this hotel for a few days in April and it was comfortable and clean. The pool was a bit murky but the grounds of the hotel were beautiful and lush. The hotel is a small family run affair and the employees were either really friendly or not friendly at all depending on who you interacted with. The room we had did not have working hot water and there were ants and a cochroach in the room. There is a pleasant sitting area with rocking chairs and couches to lounge in. The breakfast served was very filling and well prepared. Overall a fairly good hotel, especially for being in a big city, it was in a quiet neighborhood

Hotel Los Pinos was a wonderful find! The hotel is centrally located yet very quiet. The rooms are clean with hot water and a/c. The swimming pool was refreshing after a busy day of touring around the sights of Managua. A good selection of breakfast choices is included in the price of the room. But what makes Los Pinos stand out above the rest is the warm welcome and generous hospitality of the owners. We felt very fortunate to have discovered this lovely place in the heart of Managua. We would definitely go back and strongly recommend it!

This was the first hotel I stayed at in Nicaragua but I really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and spoke English well.

The rooms were good--nothing to write home about but they were clean and they had a/c (for no extra charge!).

I didn't appreciate this when I first arrived but it's so QUIET at this hotel--most other hotels I stayed at in Nicaragua were so noisy just because of the thin walls, etc. But since this hotel is pretty well isolated I was able to get a great night's sleep.

This is a perfect place to stay for an overnight or more in Managua. We stayed here for one night before catching a flight out the following afternoon. Rooms are clean and spacious, pool is very nice, and the owner if extremely helpful (and speaks perfect English, having grown up in New Jersey). Location is good for nearby restaurant area. Breakfast, which is included in room rate, was excellent.

great little place to stay in Managua. Wonderful owner who is a pleasure to sit and talk with (his English is very good!) and the facility is very nice for this part of the world.
