Sol y Luna is a nice locally owned hotel located within a short walk of several nice restaurants. The hotel is very small and only has 4-10 rooms. The hotel had a locked gate for security and the staff quickly opened the gate for me. Many times they had the gate open before I even got out of the car. The rooms had a small safe that I did not use and did not feel was necessary. All of the staff was very nice. None spoke English, but they all did their best to assist me.
The hotel grounds and rooms were very quiet. The rooms, sheets and towels were clean.
This is not fancy hotel it is a basic, safe and clean hotel. The courtyard area outside of the room was nicely landscaped and it was a nice and quite area to eat breakfast, surf the web on their wifi etc
The hotel had free internet and a free breakfast which was good.
The hot water in the shower had very low pressure. Many local hotels in Nicaragua have NO hot water. So this is a plus. The sink did not have hot water which is not an issue for me.
The room had A/C
This is not a Hyatt or Hilton. If you want luxury stay elsewhere. If you want local flavor with many choices of great local food, stay here. This is an average hotel on the USA scale. This is a nice to very nice hotel on the Nicaraguan scale.
