Food was very well prepared & tasty, staff was SO friendly & accommodating and the air conditioning worked great. The wi-fi is spotty and really only works in the lobby and out on the patio which was a little disappointing, but other than that everything was awesome!

I was very pleased with my recent stay there. There was a lot of good experiences about this stay. The rooms were clean, all the a/c worked, and an excellent warm attention from these group of people.

Spent a week at Hotel Casa San Juan while on mission trip to Nicaragua. First time to Nicaragua and found Hotel Casa San Juan a great place to stay. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Food prepared for group was always filling and plentiful. Had to move from first room to another room due to AC problems. Second room, #8 was small, but worked fine for our needs. AC worked, warm water in shower and clean beds and linens every day. New dining area was completed on our stay and we dined the last evening in that room. Very spacious and clean and always a treat to eat outdoors for every meal. Security at walled/gate 24 hours, never concerned for safety. Would definitely go back and stay at Casa San Juan.

Room Tip: We started in Room #6 and it was huge, but due to AC problems had to move. Room #8 was much smaller...

The hotel is comfortable and well-located, in a safe area close to Metrocentro mall, which offers a large choice of shops and eateries. The hotel boasts a nice patio, large bedrooms with A/C. But there is no hot water, and the airport shuttle is just OK for $25.

The hotel is beautiful and comfortable. Service was very good. It's location is central and accessible to transportation. Staff was helpful and courteous. My only criticism is that wifi connections didn't work, but the staff tried to resolve the problem.

Room Tip: Shared a room with colleague, 2 full beds. Was comfortable and well priced.

This hotel is convenient to shopping, public transportation. The food is good. Rooms
are clean and comfortable. There is internet service and did not have to have electrical
plug adapters. We were a fairly large group and the hotel staff went out of their way to
accommodate everyone.

Very happy with this hotel, stayed with a group in early March 2013. Linens were clean, plumbing worked well, and staff goes overboard to satisfy. It's about a 35-minute ride from MGA.

Water was warm but not hot, but who cares in this heat? Only thing better is if they had a pool...

The ladies in the bar/restaurant appreciate a little courtesy, a little Spanish, and even better, a little tip. Be careful not to overdo by our standards. Same with housekeeping.

Nearby you have La Union premium grocery store if you forgot anything for your trip, bring your own grocery bags to secure your items, or use a backpack. Otherwise you have the crappy plastics to deal with.

For side trips to Masaya or Granada in a bus the big bus depot is nearby, within walking distance. Don't take the first person who shouts out your destination - make SURE you're getting on the right bus that goes to where you'd like to go. My strategy is to ask three times and if I get the same answer twice I have some confidence. If not I go for three out of five. If not I keep on going. I don't like to get lost!

Room Tip: Stay away from tables and chairs in courtyard if you don't want to attract late-night talkers...
