I decided to throw caution to the wind and with the expected bonus of being right in front of the airport, I booked this hotel. What a mistake...For the same amount of money, I could have stayed in the Intercontinental or the Crowne Plaza in Managua and would have been 15 minutes away from the airport anyway.
The advantage does not mean much as you and your luggage have to ride a shuttle anyway...
My first concern was the WIFI, that did not work the entire night...Second, the rooms are outside, the corridors get wet and the rain falls literally on your roof...I felt like I was sleeping on a tent on a camping trip...the sound of the rain over the tin roof made for a noisy unbearable night. Our room was in the main corridor, so people were walking and being noisy and carrying luggage in front of our room all night long.
It was so bad, that as soon as the sun came up we just checked out, skipped the breakfast and headed to the airport! At USD$95 it was the most expensive hotel in Nica...For the same amount of $$$ we stayed at beautiful Plaza Colon in Granada and there is no comparison.
I would stay here again if the rooms were US$40 because that is the value I receivedMore
