Staff was helpful, provided maps and directions, which was very useful considering streets have no names in Managua.
The pool has recently been upgraded and looks modern.
The hotel is not new but it has been taken care of.
Free wifi was a surprise in an Intercontinental Group Hotel.
Restaurant is expensive. $11 dollars for a breakfast is too much for Managua, considering that you can have breakfast in a nice restaruant for $4. For budget travellers, there is a 'Tip Top' fried chicken restaurant at walking distance from the hotel; and ohter restaurants in nearby Metrocentro.
Location is not the best if you don't have a car as there's nothing to see in walking distance.
A 5 to 10 minute car drive will take you to the nice modern part of of Managua (Carretera a Masaya) where Metrocentro, Hilton and Intercontinental, and Galerías Mall are located.
A 5-10 minute car drive will take you to the Tiscapa Lagoon.
And located 1 hour from colonial town Masaya.
A small casino is located in the hotel for those who like gambling.More
