We spent an hour or two around Loma de Tiscapa, after having lunch at the nearby mall. It cost ~$1/person, and involved a good little hike up the hill. At the top, you can see the remains of the old palace, the large crater filled in with water, and you can zip-line across (a few people were, but we did not). Instead, we enjoyed just walking around leisurely (there were only a dozen or two people up there, so fairly quiet), admiring the variety of trees, flowers, and wildlife. There are some great panoramic views of the city here-- so for the cheap admission and easy access, it's definitely worth the time to check it out!
