“Nice diversion for a day trip”
Reviewed 2 March 2014

We spent an hour or two around Loma de Tiscapa, after having lunch at the nearby mall. It cost ~$1/person, and involved a good little hike up the hill. At the top, you can see the remains of the old palace, the large crater filled in with water, and you can zip-line across (a few people were, but we did not). Instead, we enjoyed just walking around leisurely (there were only a dozen or two people up there, so fairly quiet), admiring the variety of trees, flowers, and wildlife. There are some great panoramic views of the city here-- so for the cheap admission and easy access, it's definitely worth the time to check it out!

“Great Views”
Reviewed 2 February 2014

Wonderful views from here, took lots of photos. You can also zip line if you are more daring. The remains of the presidential palace are also very interesting. There is a small area to relax and have something to drink as well.

“nice view, but...”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

There are so many unbelievable views overlooking volcanic lakes throughout Nicaragua. This one has easy access, and you might as well see it, but there are other one's that will WOW.

“OK park with zip lining”
Reviewed 14 January 2014

Not a lot to do unless you have kids or want to go zip lining. The zip lines ($15 pp) go around the lagoon and it takes about 30 minutes to do the 3 lines, including setup. Other than that, they have food and beverage vendors and an overlook across the city.

“Nice place to go for the view”
Reviewed 28 December 2013

We enjoyed the view from the top of the Loma. It provided a great overview of the city and surrounding volcanoes. The little crater lake was pretty and the metal statue of Sandino was interesting (and a bit weird). Worth the drive if you're taking a city tour.
