We stayed here and really enjoyed this hotel. The service was the best because the staff that worked there were not only nice but all the info they gave us on things to do, places to eat and see were 100% right on!!! The Hotel was very clean, cozy, modern with the bed so comfortable we took 2 naps 1 day. The pool on the roof was a bit small but clean, never crowded and had a spectacular view of the city. The Bar was nice, modern and was a great place to "wind down" after hitting the city. The Room was large with a large window with a clear view of the bay where you could watch the ships line up to enter the canal. Location was great in that you could walk 2 blocks behind the Hotel for plenty of choices of restaurants, night life etc.

My Wife had to work a bit while on this trip and the hotel easily accommodated that.

I'd recommend this place to family and friends.

Room Tip: Get a room to the front of the Hotel so you can get a clear view of the Bay.

First of all, this is a very nice hotel. So from a comfort and cleanliness standpoint, there's really nothing to complain about. It's a cool lobby, the rooms are big and nice (and our view overlooking the water was great), and the facilities are a solid 4+ star experience. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay there.

I should also add that the location is EXCELLENT. The street that it is on happens to be the heart of the best dining and nightlight options in the city, so you can walk down to great restaurants such as Market, La Posta, LT Restaurant, etc, right there. This is a major plus that shouldn't be overlooked.

The issues we had with the hotel came from mixed service. Overall the service was good. In particular, we had one excellent concierge who really helped us out (including tracking down a missed cell phone).

However, another time my wife was booked for a salon appointment, assured multiple times it was confirmed, only to show up and find it was closed that day. When she asked the concierge (a different person than above) what happened, there was no apology or admission of anything wrong, only that she had planned to call the salon later but never got around to it. At other times the Business Center, which was meant to be open 24 hours, was closed and we had to ask for special requests to get it open even during the day.

These are minor quibbles for what is overall a nice hotel that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone traveling to Panama City. It's just that they need to get a few things together on the professionalism front just to "up" the level to where it needs to be as an international hotel in a fast-growing city.

But from a comfort, "niceness," and location-perspective, it's definitely recommended.

If you don't mind explaining over and over what you want, and then, only in Spanish, you will love the place. For a supposedly upscale Hotel chain, they have skipped customer service, but then, that is typical in Panama - no sense whatsoever. So, don't eat here - just go a few paces down the street to The Market or Elephant Grill or The Manray and be trated well.

This hotel is underrated in my opinion, it is worthy of a very good at minimum. Totally modern hotel, large guest rooms with nice bathrooms. I stayed here three nights for business, we had a small 3 day meeting at the hotel. It was perfect for our needs, the food served in the meeting room and the lunch in the restaurant were very good. Above average and nice variety.
The hotel did a solid job with our meeting, I would definitely come here again. I didn't get a chance to walk around, but there are lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance.

The hotel does not honor online reservations through expedia.com as their systems do not update fast enough to reflect real occupancy resulting on overbooking. This has just happened to me. I arrived late at night, and I was left with no other choice than to accept staying at another hotel of inferior quality, and in the middle of a remodelling and construction. Because I accepted the relocation at arrival, expedia.com and Le Meridien refused to provide me with a refund for the hotels fare difference. BE CAREFUL WHEN CHOSING THIS HOTEL AS IT MAY NOT HONOR YOUR PRE PAID RESERVATION.

The staff is warm and friendly and try to do what it can to make your stay enjoyable. I, too, get annoyed when hotels charge you exorbitant prices for internet... and if I find a hotel in PC , as nice and at the same price that does't charge for internet, I will consider moving there. Any suggestions? The rooms are clean and nice sized - sometimes there is a damp smell in the hallways... I don't know what causes that, but it is not too bad. I love the club and the pool on the top floor. When I have eaten the food, it has been OK, not great, but there are so many great places to eat within walking distance that I almost never eat in the hotel. Market is the closest, and it is good, but not the best. Gauchos is the place for meat lovers,, if you want an interesting experience go to the Londoner Pub and Ozone restaurant - a combination of British beet and middle-eastern food - with some fish and chips in there. Interesting and flavorful menu - and if you don't like it, there is always the beer. Many good places to walk to to eat and many clubs makes the location of this hotel perfect. Oh, yes, and it is also in the business district, if you have to work.
