When I heard about this place, it seemed like it was going to be a tourist trap. You know, crew-ship type fake show and bad food? But it wasn't! Well, the crowd did look touristy, but the dancing was fantastic. The show was almost an hour long and the dancers and musicians were very talented! We got a nice range of dances, along with good explanations of what we were seeing. The food was delicious. Authentic, and really tasted home made. My seafood stew was delicious, and everyone enjoyed their main courses & salads. The assorted appetizers were the only 'miss' we encountered. The show started at 9, so we had dinner reservations for 7:15, which worked out great. We were done eating, and having coffee when the show began. I think reservations are a very good idea.

This is a really interesting place. The food is real Panamanian, and if you come, plan on doing so to eat just before or during the nightly dance performance. Traditional Panamanian musicians and performers put on a hour-long show which is very engaging and entertaining. Well worth the $5 cover charge.

Its just yummy traditional food, I recommend ceviche corvina pulpo, basically anything out the sea is my best suggestion but the meat is good too. Make sure to ask for it rare if you like Mid-in panama we usually cook it to med-well as custom. They also have good entertainment at night traditional "tipico" dancing etc.
Can get really packed at lunch from all the office workers, just a tip in panama ppl do tend to dress up a bit so no sneakers, shorts I would suggest for dinner as custom especially here. Even though its a casual type restaurant

While the meal was tasty, the performance is the reason to visit. The show was an hour, and the dancers were truly talented. The costumes (pollera) were beautiful, and the performers included audience members in the final dance and later invited people on stage for photos.

Reservations necessary. The place gets packed quickly.

Limited menu both on the drink and food. Good service. Good seafood dishes. (Corvina) However this place is meant for tour groups. If you arrive alone you will not be able to see the evening folk dancing show.
