“So worth a tour!”
Reviewed 2 April 2014

This was a wonderful way to learn some history of Panama and its people. The tour was excellent and I even got to sandblast some silver pieces. The tour was private for no one else was there on a Wednesday at 2pm. No fee either. Saw the lost wax process. Entertaining and informative. Its in the midst of an industrial park so be sure to give the address to the cabbie or you may be taken to the small store downtown. wonderful memories and exciting souvenirs.

“Take the tour.”
Reviewed 28 January 2014

took a Friday tour on short notice. Only twice a day on weekdays. Monica, the docent, was great, speaking perfect English & Spanish. Only $10 per person, you see a short presentation, see the lost wax process & history of precious items of Panama & visit the gift shop. It is in the Industrial Park in Costa del Este. Not a big place. Got a nice goodie bag when finished. Our driver, took us from the hotel to here & back.

“Awesome activity”
Reviewed 4 January 2014 via mobile

These artisans take great joy in explaining the history of their country's artifacts and beautifully explain as they recreate the ceramics, jewelry and textiles. It was like an an amazing museum with a dreamy gift shop. You know you are going to want souvenirs from your trip. Here you feel you are leaving with memories as well. The tour guides were also happy to give us great tips on restaurants, politics, and fun ideas.

“Worth the time”
Reviewed 10 September 2013

Reprosa wasn't originally on my list of things of things to do in Panama. But I am really glad that I changed my mind. The tour guide, Monica was extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer my million and one questions. The tour started of with a video which highlighted some of the history of Panama, then the guide gave further details regarding the origins of Reprosa. It was interesting to see how the art is being made (because trust me every piece is a work of art). Everything was made in the factory with some exceptions. The items not made in the factory are made by artisans within the city. The details were amazing.

Things to note:

1. The products are really good and prices start at about $18 USD and can go as high as $300 (I think that's the highest that I saw). It is also very possible to get carried away and start picking up many things because the items as stated before are very beautiful and intricate.

2. For some reason the street taxis were not very open to going to Costa del Este (could not figure out why). It actually took awhile for me to get a taxi to go there. To avoid this hassle, you can make specific arrangements for a taxi from hotel to Reprosa.

3. The sign outside does not say "Reprosa." We kept looking for specifically that but did see it. Instead look for "Reproduccionnes y Originales, S.A." It is on your left after turning unto Calle Primera.

4. For those who may not want to take a taxi, there is a bus that passes on the main road. You stop at the exit for Costa Del Este and it's a five minute walk in. The bus is the Panama Viejo/M.Mariscos/Cinta Costera bus (there are no bus numbers). If you're staying in Casco Viejo its a short walk away from there. It also passes through the down town area so it is readily accessible.
