I stayed for 10 nights, time enough to see and learn enough. Good size hotel rooms, well tidied, I had a good view to some skyscrapers, lunch was absolutely fantastic, breakfast buffet was spectacularly delicious and varied, there was a cook making omelette and scrambled eggs as you wished. I didn't have time to use the pool which looks quiet normal.
They take a free of charges mineral water bottle to your room every day and also something sweet, a brownie, mini cupcake, cookies etc. They also have laundry service, and other services you might find in that kind of hotel. The Wireless Internet connection is a pain in the neck though you can connect your computer in your room and it'll be ok. They apologized for having troubles with the Internet connection and said they are working on that for next year.
This hotel doesn't look new and immaculate, there are certain flaws you can see on walls, bathtub and maybe the carpet; although it seems likes they are working on renewing certain things that need to be improved. I hope so, because I'd like to make that hotel my habitual commodity. Why?? Employes are kind, they smile, seem to like what they do, and they are always willing to be helpful and make you feel like satisfied as comfortable as possible and it's located exactly where I love, that banking area where you can walk around and find the best variety of restaurants, clubs, malls, stores, the bay side and some nice people willing make you feel welcomed.
Well only if I get the great price I got for staying in that opportunity. If it's more expensive than 66€ (aprox. $88) per night I won't stay, at least until they make it look newer and with a better Internet connection.

I didn't have much expectation because it was a four points but it was a nice place. I stayed for two nights, the room has great amenities - things I haven't seen in an America hotel in years like a shaving kit, tooth brush and paste etc-, they gave me a late check out until 3pm also - that's amazing nowadays.

The only issue was that they never got my room service quite right (toast instead I French toast, shrimp instead of calamari) and I ordered things off of their menu so I don't get the confusion. Aw well. It was still a Nice place with nice staff.

We arrived in Panama City for a business convention. We were to stay for 5 days. We cancelled our reservation here after one night. We were looking for some nice entertainment for our "off time". The Pool at the Sheraton was just no good. The wait staff would come out- but our small group was the only one out there. We were looking for more- food & drinks outside, music, etc. If you want this, this is not the place for you. The hotel is basic, just old. For the most part clean. s Our room had a very musty smell (I think this smell is very common here with the high humidity though). We had breakfast included - it was OK. The bread was a bit stale but the eggs were good. They had moved the restaurant temporarily for some reason. It is connected to a casino. It is a small casino, but nice. Slots down & Tables up. The bars through out are limited if you are picky. As for the spa- the steam room was "out of order". The massage area- had just one room. The gym was small with a few machines. If you are looking to just pass through & need a place to crash- this is great. If you are looking to spend time at the hotel- I would not recommend it.

Room Tip: Don't get pool view- go with city view. Pool is nothing nice to look at & the building near...

I had stayed in Four Points by Sheraton in States and Canada .But this is by far the best property. The free breakfast was outstanding. It had incredible array of items,In the US if one gets atleast half of these items in the breakfast in any hotel one should consider themselves very lucky. The only complain is the Steam room was out of function.

Like any other big hotels the travel packages they sell is very expensive. The guy in front desk tried to scare me to use the hotel transportation and travel packages siting security situation. A 3 hour sight seeing tour booked through the hotel will cost you 90$. I retained a cab driver who speaks English[I got lucky since very few people speaks English in Panama City] for almost 7 hours which included driving us around to various sightseeing places and a drop off to the airport for 85$. The airport drop off alone could cost 30$

I came to this hotel to attend a conference. Problems started upon arrival: room not ready, my last name wrongly spelled, so it would be hard to locate me, staff not attentive, with an attitude like the guests interrupt whatever they happen to be doing at the time.

But the real problem was on the night of May 10: lights went out a little before midnight, I looked out the window and saw a fire engine, but thought nothing of it, because there have been problems with electricity due to the lack of rain in Panama. No alarms, no messages. A couple hours later, noise, banging, steps, I woke up and a man was saying "We are evacuating, don't be alarmed , it is a preventive measure, come out of your room, only indispensable stuff".
So I came out, could smell smoke, waited for a while for other guests to come and walked down the stairs. Outside people were complaining of lack of information, and eventually the manager came and said that we would be taken to a different hotel for the night and that this was "preventive". I asked if I could go back to get my passport and was told it would be ok. So I went back to the 7th floor and then down again, while other guests came down and the staff supposedly made sure everyone was out.

But nobody had a list of the guests. Nobody asked about your room number. There were no loudspeakers telling people to come out, I was worried I didn't see my colleagues, was told everybody was down and some people had already been taken to the other hotel.
There I was told to wait for some time so they would put their lists together and then they would give the room number of my friends.
It was two in the morning, so instead of insisting, in order not to pester anybody in the middle of the night, I emailed my colleagues, to find out their new room number...and next morning I learned my two colleagues hadn't been evacuated!!!
Forget that nobody contacted people next morning about return to Four Points...their evacuation was so sloppy that some people had been left behind!
Staff had no explanation for this, they were very vague about what had happened the night before and were not attentive.
Later we were told that the power generator had been covered with plywood and this caused the trouble.
Fortunately the incident was self limited,, but I would like to express my deep concern that the lack of training and disregard for the guests wellbeing and safety could've resulted in tragedy.
I think that strong measures should be taken by the management of this property to insure that this doesn't ever happen agin...and the maybe they can do something to improve the attitude of the staff.

Dear guest, receive a warm greetings from your hotel Four Points by Sheraton Panama, we apologize, by what happened during his visit in May, this was due to an unpredictable situation, for which an of policy of our hospitality service is offer our valued guests a great service and ensure the safety of each of them, reason why we took the decicion in this occasion to transfer our guests the night of the incident to the hotel Hard Rock the hotel assumed the charges of this night , while we solved the situation.
His comments have been very helpful to us, taken as a priority in the committee of senior executives of the company and hotel security department.

I stayed in this hotel May 8-12/13.
First they could not find my reservation (or those of 2 friends later that day) for over an hour.
Then they mis-spelled all our names despite having our passports and did not correct this when it was pointed out. This meant all callers were told we were not guests at that hotel.

We had a power blackout about midnight (May 10-11) but as this was not unusual I went to sleep.I awakened between 1 and 2am smelling burning. I called reception and was told "We had a little problem but it is fixed, so good night! I checked the hall and there was no visible smoke, so silly me, I went to sleep,
At 7am my 2 friends did not answer their phones which was odd and I could still smell a faint odour of burning.. i called switch board to double-check their room numbers (which I thought was correct) but was told they were not guests! I protested then went to reception. They also said they had no record of them. I went to their rooms and pounded on their doors but no answer. I then remembered I had a cell phone number of one of them and called her. She shouted "WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THERE? THAT HOTEL WAS ORDERED EVACULATED BY THE FIRE DEPT about 2 am!" I confronted the man at reception with this information and he called his colleagues who said they "could not discuss this security issue!" The fire alarm never rang. No one informed me but they claimed everyone was told to leave. I called Sheraton Customer Service in USA today (Nick) and was told that unless I gave him my reservation number he can not take the report. I explained the problem and I asked to speak to his supervisor but was disconnected. I am a Starwood Preferred Customer, so you see the priority on customer service. This incompetence is really dangerous!

After reading the reviews regarding this property I almost changed my mind about staying there as I was worried about the service and the mold smell noted by many reviewers. Overall I would rank it a bit above "Average" and just below "Very Good." I did not notice a mold smell, or any others smells at the hotel and while it is apparent the hotel is not new or modern, I thought it was clean, with spacious guest rooms and friendly, if a bit slow, service. I was able to check in early (12:00) with no issues and the staff gave me helpful advice about the area. I thought the bedding was very comfortable and the bathroom nicely arrange. The work space area was comfortable and well designed. My only issue was that the internet was very inconsistent and the speed and reliability of the internet was dependent on where your room was. It worked about 50% of the time in my room which was very annoying. Overall for the price I thought it was a very nice value and convenient location. The quality of the breakfast was average to just above average but it was plentiful with a lot of choices. I also enjoyed the workout/fitness center and the sauna and steam rooms which were adequate.

Room Tip: If you want consistent internet in your room get as close to the elevators on your floor as possible...
