I enjoyed a delicious meal in Grapes last night and the food was its usual excellent standard. Panamanians tend to eat late, so when we arrived at 8pm we were the first there, but it soon got busier. The redecoration and the addition of a pianist enhances the ambience of the restaurant and creates a cosy, relaxed setting in fine surroundings.
I enjoyed three mouth-watering courses: Arepitas, a New York Strip steak and sticky-toffee pudding. The starter and main was perfectly cooked, the steak especially was perfection and melted in the mouth. This was accompanied with steamed fresh vegetables and French fries. The arepitas were tossed in a delicious dressing and served on crunchy plantain.
Excellent table service and an extensive wine selection completed a very pleasant evening indeed.
I would thoroughly recommend.
