We were just passing through town on our way to the Cajun Trail when we noticed the sign and all the cars in the parking lot. Mrs. M pulled a U turn and we headed in.
Inside is a large open space with lots of tables and LOTS of diners. Nonetheless, we were quickly seated and our server, Marrisa, quickly brought us water and menus. We had a few questions and she helped us figure out our order which was a half order of grilled parmesan oysters and a half order of grilled candied oysters. Then for good measure we ordered a half order of the crabcakes.
The oysters came first. Twelve perfectly grilled oysters...six were topped with garlic butter and grated parmesan cheese...YUM! The other six were topped with blue cheese and sugar cane pepper sauce...OMG...AWESOME! What a treat!
Then we had the crab cake, accompanied with grilled potatoes. The crab cake was almost all crab with just a touch of bread crumbs and seasoning.....Yum! The potatoes were perfect and seemed to have some kind of special seasoning on them...Yum!
There is so much more great food on this menu....which brings me to our biggest problem for this restaurant...it's a thousand miles from our home!!! Something has to move, either this restaurant or us, because we need to try everything on the menu!
