We have stayed in about 4 other LQ's in the last 6 months. I am writing this as a comparison to those hotels.
Many of the hotels have been updated but what has stood out is that they are typically a 3-4 star as far as clean and well kept. This is expected for the price I have paid. This hotel came up short. If you would like to know why keep reading.
1. This hotel is fairly new it seemed. I also expected that since it was an airport hotel it would be very clean. This was not the case at all. As you can see in pictures this hotel does not get what I would call "upkeep cleanings". Some pictures show dirty toilets and other problems. We saw this too. The hall was also just dirty. Not trash and vacuuming but dirt from significant time passing between cleanings.
2. Breakfast. After several stays at LQ we have a pretty good idea what to expect. This one fell way short. Frozen coffee, two kinds of cereal, the waffle mix was noticeably runny, no toppings for the oatmeal and despite having cream cheese there were nothing to put it on. If I hadn't visited so many LQs that did a better job at this I wouldn't have thought twice probably. But since it seems they are trying to change their image for the better I feel this is significant to note.
A positive was that the staff was really nice.
Hope this helps you on your decision of where to stay.
My room was very clean and spacious. I didn't feel cramped into such a small space like most hotel rooms! My room was a king. The staff was very friendly. We found the the rates to be very affordable. The free breakfast wasn't great but, it was free!
Very Clean. Very Comfortable Room and Bed. Great Value. Professional/Friendly Staff.
I liked the screen saver on TV of waves splashing on a beach, that there were a lot of outlets to power all my devices, that they had smoking rooms, and the noon check out time.
The only negatives, there was train noise during day and early evening hours. I was able to hear other guests conversations while in their rooms.
