pity with all the money spent here they cannot be more original.
the decoration and food could be improved easily...
the chef is up to it; and why all the vulgar front entrance decoration?
this place has no character.

However the advantages are it is very convenient location wise and the staff at front desk are very very polite and pleasant.

another concern is that the Hilton is making a profit but cannot be bothered with recycling (according to housekeeping there is no recycling here of glass, papers, plastic from the rooms). and I know that there is a lot of unused food...what about the charities and food pantries serving poor people in the area??

Hilton Hotels need to make an effort.

I will use another hotel as soon as anything decent is available.

I have stayed at several hotels in the Lewiston-Auburn area over the years and the Hilton Inn Riverwatch is head and shoulders above the rest. We chose the Hilton Inn despite the less-than-stellar reviews I had read here -- I am glad I did. My family and I arrived about 4 hours before check-in time and despite being heavily booked due to the Annual Balloon Festival - we were accomodated immediately. The staff was very friendly and helpful and our room was spotlessly clean and nicely appointed. We especially enjoyed our peaceful strolls along the path that follows along the river next to the hotel - just beautiful. My only complaint is the showerhead in the bathroom is somewhat weak - it could stand a little more water pressure. I am planning another trip to Auburn next spring and the Hilton Inn Riverwatch is where I am staying.

I have been to most of the hotels/motels in the Lewiston area and this one truly stands out. The lobby is gorgeous and inviting. The rooms are bright, clean, roomy and tastefully done. While the kids loved the good-sized pool and hot tub, my friend and I enjoyed the workout room. There was a wedding going on there when we were there. I looked in: The banquet facilities overlook the waterfalls that divide the two cities. It was beautiful. Parking was close by and free. The staff was great. What's not to like? OK, another treadmill would probably reduce the wait in the workout room. But that's small potatoes. It's a classy hotel, the service was great and it's right downtown. And we got a good rate. We'll be back!

One of the most disorganized hotels EVER. We arrived in the midddle of the night to a locked front door (in December) which someone answered after a good 20 minutes in the cold. Over a 6 day stay, the rooms were not cleaned two of those days - but the price remained the same. The checkin/out dates for the two rooms were completely incorrect even though the "reservations" had been made and credit card CONFIRMED through the hotel itself and not a booking agent. One night we were actually charged for three rooms. In addition, the "manager," CJ (I believe was his name) was ever elusive despite REPEATED requests for his attention. To top it all off, we were informed by the ultra-curteous staff that the hotel was "practically empty!"

This place, while new and shiny, is obviously a product of "cookie cutter corporate packaging". I thought the staff was very nice, but due to flimsy construction, rooms were noisy and shoddily furnished. Not the best place to stay in Auburn, by far.
