“Excellent hotel”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

Hotel staff excellent, room and bathroom are spacious, bed comfortable. Always like AC that I can control. I was there only one night but could have stayed longer. Hotel was a bit difficult to find because a street is closed; but this is not the hotel's fault. I called hotel and was given excellant and patient assistance. Very pleasant stay. Will stay there again if ever in that area.

The service in this hotel was simply exceptional. And that's not an overstatement. Travis at check in went above and beyond any Marriott experience we've had. Terry at the bar made us feel like we were right at home. Unfortunately the air conditioning wasn't working so we were hotter than we might have liked. Signage from the highway isn't easy..but we would definitely return despite the air conditioner issue.

Room Tip: front of the hotel faces Ripken stadium; back of the hotel looks over several fields.

Staying here is a must in order to get 100% of the Ripken experience. If you are lucky enough to get to go to play baseball at Ripken Stadium then staying here should be part of your plans!

One major downfall is that It's a bit pricey.

The desk staff is excellent and they also have a fantastic crew that provides entertainment for the kids. On our recent weekend here they provided a movie night, and a dance themed party.

Room Tip: **IMPORTANT** Ask for a room facing Cal Sr.'s Yard

I spent 2 nights at this hotel last weekend as my son participates in a traveling soccer club. Overall, it was a good place to stay and very kid and family friendly. First, the hotel is tucked away off the main road (Route 22), just off I-95. It's easy to get to and literally located right next to the Cal Ripkin baseball stadium. The hotel was very clean, and didn't look too old. The room size was fine, decor was nice, bathroom was adequate, the beds comfortable and one big bonus was the onsite laundry facilities (it was raining throughout the weekend, muddy soccer gear, etc.). The hotel has a game room for the kids (which can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it). There are a number of good restaurants on Route 22 (check out Mamie's Cafe - great food, large portions, and very inexpensive) or Hunan chinese in same shopping center). The hotel staff was really friendly and welcoming and very accomodating to the guests that stay here. Be aware that this is a meca for families with kids attending sporting events, particularly baseball camp at the stadium. It can be noisy in the halls and in the dining area so if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is probably not the hotel for you. My only two issues - (1) I think due to all the younger kids, that the hotel should have a noise policy or a curfew and (2) the hair dryers are old and it would be good to replace them. Overall, it's a really nice place to stay.

This is one of the best hotels in the Aberdeen Area. It is right beside Cal Ripken stadium, so if you are a baseball fan, the views are great (you can see the stadium from one side and the youth fields from the other). Front desk crew is polite and welcoming. The gym is excellent, free weights, tread mills, and elipticals. I have not used the pool, but you can see it from the gym and it looks nice. The hotel bar is well stocked for your after hour needs and prices are reasonble. I have not had the breakfast but it is usually packed during the morning time. Beds are comfortable, bath rooms are up to date and very clean. Flat screen tv's in all the rooms.

Room Tip: I personally like the side of the hotel with a view of the youth fields.

Note picture 12 of travelers photos. In a King Bed room, the TV is positioned partially behind the clothes closet so that 1/3 of the screen cannot be seen by those in bed. I don't know about you, but in a hotel we are going to bed and watch TV. On the night of Redskins v. Cowboys only a partial screen was available from the bed.

Apparently this is an older Courtyard and needs renovation. At night noisy heat&a/c and from small refrigerator. Turned them off. BTW, breakfast buffet is $11 per person, plus drinks and tip. Across 95 there is a Panera or whatever:)

Room Tip: Avoid rooms with King Bed if you want to watch TV from bed

We travel through Aberdeen every year and stay at this hotel. The service and accommodations are excellent and make this location a target for our travels. The shower is awesome and area sports bar is great. See you next year!
