A well placed monument to veterans that overlooks the Severn River and the United States Naval Academy.

“Excellent Location - Not many lost from Maryland”
Reviewed 19 June 2013

The best thing is the view. It is on a rise and overlooks Annapolis and The Naval Academy. What a terrific place to see and to visit. It is of course old but there appear to be few who participated from Maryland or they are very good at ducking...... Still, don't miss the stop because of the view.

“Great Tribute to Our Soliders”
Reviewed 4 June 2013

Surprising tribute in the middle of the highway, but what a view of the river and the Navel Academy! The Blue Star Marker is just fantastic and such a nice tribute to our men and women who served! Very peaceful and the photo opts terrific.

“Great Memorial with a Great View”
Reviewed 12 May 2013

There is plenty of public parking available there, so no problem accessing the site. It is situated on an area of higher elevation that looks out toward the river and the Naval Academy on the other side. When you walk around the side to the circle of stones, each stone gives a description in sequential order of the major phases of WWII. Reading each of them in order will give a great refresher of exactly what transpired during WWII.

It gives you a nice place to stop for a while and plan the rest of your day in Annapolis.

“Great view and tribute”
Reviewed 22 April 2013

This monument to those who didn't return from WWii is beautiful and affords a great view from the spot above. Take a few minutes to see it. Parking is right there
