Very welcoming and nice hotel located in the heart of Annapolis. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is friendly and valet parking is available. I gave the room 4 stars instead of 5 because there is not much seating. One desk chair and one dining chair. Rooms could use a small love seat. Otherwise it is quite nice with updated interior. Very quiet.

A spontaneous overnight to celebrate our anniversary in Annapolis was just lovely at the O'Callaghan Hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly or polite. Our room was spotless, quiet and comfy bed linens. Location is perfect to stroll into the downtown center. We were looking very forward to having Shepherds Pie for dinner at the pub but sadly it is not currently on the menu. They are planning to reintroduce it and we will return again to enjoy it ! We did enjoy a fabulous seafood dinner, however. The Irish music playing in the lobby made us feel we were in Ireland herself ! Mary

My boyfriend and I stayed at the O'Callaghan Hotel for the MLK weekend. Upon arrival Sean greeted us and had us checked in in a snap. We stayed in Room 501. While our visit was not without its mystery noises - management was prompt in sending maintenance. Jackie personally visited our room to offer her assistance which was graciously accepted! The hotel is centrally located and there is a trolly stop right out front (although you have to be outside - and it was bitter cold!). We ate breakfast in the dining room and found everything to be acceptable. It's not the Ritz - but I would have no problem recommending it or staying again! Which I hope to again when the weather warms up!

We attended a wedding reception held at the hotel and also stayed for the weekend. From the moment we drove on to the property, until we left, the personnel were fantastic. We had the breakfast buffet two of the mornings; the serving trays were always filled and the food was good. The crab cakes at the wedding reception, along with the other food, were delicious. The location was fantastic; we walked to the water front, it is near by the football stadium and Naval Academy, and lots of restaurants. We will be back.

Everything is near everything in Annapolis and the O'Callaghan is no exception. Friendly team members who sincerely cared about our satisfaction. Our room was very nice and we will be back should a need to stay over in Annapolis present itself.

Stayed here for the Military Bowl and it was a great option. The parking/valet was nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable, in room fridge worked great too. It was a short walk from the stadium and is just a few blocks from the downtown/bar district in Annapolis which was great because it basically means you don't have to drive at all while staying in the city. Also the restaurant there was a great addition. The only negative was as far as I could tell there wasn't any wireless Internet

I believe this was a beautiful hotel at one time. Money is obviously not being put back into maintenance. We had rooms 316/317 because we specifically needed an adjoining room and the hotel had no suites available. Upon walking in we could smell a musty odor but chalked it up to hotel age??? When it started raining heavily, water began to pool on top of the heaters that were located right under the windows. Hence the cause of moldy musty smell. The wall paper was pealing in all areas of the room, bathroom light glass globes were chipped and broken, the towel rack was coming off the wall in the shower, there was no shower water pressure, an electrical plate came loose from the wall when a cord was unplugged, holes where previous hardware had been were left unfilled, wallpaper and ceiling has scuff marks, corners had severe damage from luggage, and ungrouted tile in the bathroom where tile had been replaced. Carpet in one room had been replace and in the adjoining room there was a much older carpet. Our room key would not work. They did come up and "clean" the lock. It worked once then did not work the remainer of the stay.
Housekeeping needs some serious direction. I hate mold in a bathroom, it's unacceptable. The bathrooms need a top to bottom clean. The amount of splatter is disturbing. There was actually tape left from something that must have been hung for a prior party up on the crown molding! The counters and mirrors were not completely wiped clean when we arrived.
On a positive note, the hotel staff was fantastic. From the valet to the front desk to the bar tender. They were all kind, eager to assist and very accomodating.
