Because it sold out before we could order it on the advice of a local. Had a good meal and ale anyway so all good. Will definitely visit again .

“Great bar!”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

Food was excellent, service at the bar was great! Loved the atmosphere. Only drawback was they need more tv's when a sporting event is on!
Will definitely recommend and go again.

“Oysters great”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

When seated at the bar, one expects a little more attention. Not at the Boatyard. It took awhile, but when the oysters arrived, it was worth it. It may seem like a long walk when looking at the tourist map from the center of town, but it's not. Viewing the sailboats on the way and crossing the drawbridge, turn left at the gas station and it's on your right.

“Great for families and big groups”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

Was dying for some amazing local seafood fare, and unfortunately my selection was not the best. Loved the atmosphere: exciting, full of energy (and well loud). Though we came on a friday night as a couple and do not have kids we were not at all bothered by all the hubbub. Bar has ample space and tv's to hang out for a drink or before dinner, tons of seating which hastened our wait time. As far as food- we had steamed clams which were so dry despite the broth it was soaking in. Husband had crab cake dinner which was fresh and good, I had black & blue tuna which just didn't hit the spot. Waitress was very nice, food delivery was quick and we weren't rushed to finish. I will conclude by saying if you have kids, definitely come. The menu is huge so I am sure you can find something that satisfies. I probably just chose poorly.

“Great atmosphere and good food ”

Visited the Boatyard for dinner while travelling in the Chesapeake Bay - Annapolis area. Great atmosphere and good food at the type of spot that is usually difficult to find without some local knowledge.
