The food was so so at best and expensive. Not a good combination. Room service eggs ordered over medium were runny and raw. Yuck

The breakfast buffet had a large selection that was always stocked. The wait staff was attentive, something that is not always easy when you have a larger group with people constantly coming and going.

Great little bar, with an attached, raised room that serves as a restaurant. Had a little snack before heading out for NYE, Guinness at happy hour prices and a side of fries.

Wait staff was attentive, professional, and timely. Cozy little spot.

I took my Guides (I own a Tour Company) to the John Barry and the hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. I'm not sure if they 'poured' on the charm, but with professionalism, competency and Irish humor, we had a great time. The appetizers were great and the Crab/Jalapeno Poppers were a BIG hit. The Pecan Crusted Chicken, along with the Fish and Chips were a cut above the norm. You don't always have to order Corned Beef and Cabbage or Shepard's Pie when visiting an Irish restaurant as our experience taught us.

Definitely try out their 'Happy Hour' specials as well. The Wednesday deal is half price appetizers and half price drinks. Can't beat that and then stay for dinner. You'll be glad you visited the John Barry.
