I grew up in Maryland and lived there for 25 years, so I know good Maryland seafood. When I come back to visit and want to get a seafood fix, it's nice to find one of those places that never disappoints. This is not one of those places, and we spent about $75 on top of it.
I started with the Maryland style crab soup. It was pitiful! It was way too salty and it was more like bland vegetable soup with next to no crab meat in it. Just insulting to anyone from Maryland. The king crab legs were good, but then again they are good anywhere, whether it's Maryland, Maine, Alaska, California, or wherever. It was one good thing on the menu.
The crab cake was ok, but wasn't seasoned very well. It lacked that Old Bay and dried-mustard punch. The shrimp were huge but were also lacking the proper seasoning. The salmon was just ok and the coleslaw was way too creamy, more like cabbage swimming in way too much liquid.
I will not be going back next time I'm in Annapolis.
