We stayed at the Courtyard for one night on our way to the Eastern Shore. We figured we would get our dose of history and culture before heading for the wildlife refuges and beaches.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay. We got a very good AAA rate for ~$110 and that included breakfast. When we got there the very nice woman at the front desk...forgot her name but she was from Westchester, NY... upgraded us from room with a king bed to a room with 2 double beds. The rooms were your typical Courtyard rooms that were comfortable and clean, but nothing too exciting. For one night, it was fine.
Riva Rd. is not very pretty, but it's very convenient with restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations all close by and it's right next to the highway. In addition, the historic district was about 10 minutes away. Unfortunately, you have to deal with lots of traffic, but what can you do.
If you're staying here for a few days and you don't mind dealing with some traffic, we thought this was a very good option for Annapolis on a budget.More
