Under no circumstances do you want to stay at this Holiday Inn. There were 7 of us in 3 rooms for 3 nights and during our stay my cell phone charger was OBVIOUSLY run over by a vacuum cleaner. After talking to the manager and of course having to go buy a new one it was determined that they would not reimburse me because the maid said she didn't do it and we could not prove she did it. Yea, I got 7 people to book 3 rooms for 3 nights just so I could get a shredded up charger cord replaced. Corporate was no help because they told me that the hotel is a franchise and the manager makes the final determination. If you ask me, replacing a $32.00 cord is just a goodwill gesture that most hotels would do, not argue that there is no proof that it was done there. By the way, the hotel itself never once spoke to us about their decision not to reimburse, I had to waste my time calling Corporate 3 times, not really a stand up type of place when they didn't even have the courtesy to tell me they weren't paying for it. Beware, they will stand behind their staff no matter what happens which means if you bring an electronic device and it somehow ends up missing it's your problem, leaving the hotel staff (at least at this particular hotel) knowing that they could do just about anything and get away with it. Do yourself a favor, go to the Marriott or anywhere else, don't stay here!!!

My Mother and I stayed 2 nights at the Annapolis Holiday Inn Express. We did not select the hotel, as we booked through hotwire. The rate was $69 per night plus fees, which was outstanding, considering the hotel served a free breakfast including eggs, toast and sausage. The front desk staff and housekeeping were generally friendly., and the room was clean with comfortable beds. We both agreed we would stay again.

This hotel is ok for someone traveling alone or with one other person. The double rooms are very small. We were traveling with 2 teens and we really didn't have any space in the room...we only stayed one night. The bathroom was cute but very small. If you need a place to stay for the night yep the express is for you...for a great room and indoor pool try the Courtyard 10 mins away.

We needed a room quickly to attend the funeral of a dear friend in Annapolis. It was Valentine's weekend and the midshipmen were off base that weekend, as well as occurring just after the massive snow storms. We were grateful to find this place. The beds were super comfy, the room was really clean, and of course we had the Holiday Inn cinnamon rolls every day for breakfast. Not near downtown but many restaurants and shopping at the big town center behind the hotel. The only negative was getting in and out, the roads are sort of confusing and berms prevent a lot of left turns.

My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Annapolis over the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The service was absolutely great! We arrived a day earlier, and thanks to my own screw up, we didn't have a room reserved for our arrival date. The receptionist booked us for the extra day with no complaints. (That was much appreciated after a 14-hour plane flight!) A few days later, the same receptionist explained why I had an extra charge on my credit card after I had forgotten that we had an extra day added. Chalk it up to jetlag. He took it with a great sense of humor.

One evening, my wife and I bought a bottle of wine at a nearby spirits shop. Of course, we didn't have a corkscrew. On a whim, I asked the evening receptionist if by chance she had one. I was fully expecting a "No", but, to my surprise, she pulled out a corkscrew from under the counter! Wow! Now that is anticipating your guests' needs!

The staff was professional and always greeted us with smiles and a friendly "Hello!" If they keep that up, they will definitely have us as return customers.

Now, on to the hotel itself. The building was clean, modern and well appointed. The stair climber didn't work in the gym, but that's not a big loss. The business center is a bit small, but the rooms have free Internet. The breakfast buffet was good, but could be changed for varities' sake. (A week of eating the same thing each morning does get a bit old.)

Our room was billed as a suite. "Studio" would be a more accurate term. Strangely, it was lacking a closet. Hmmm. The king bed was comfortable, as was the sofa. Our bathroom had a jacuzzi tub. Very comfortable. However, there was one odd feature I would like to point out: louvered windows on the shower wall? Anyone taking a shower, or using the bathroom, can easily be seen by others in the room. You can just look right through the slits. I think a solid wall would be more practical here, although the windows did open to give a view of the TV while in the jacuzzi.

All in all, it was a good experience.

Didn't get much sleep staying at this hotel. The morning of Nov.8 at approx 6:30 the fire alarm went off. The entire hotel evacuated into the parking lot, waiting for the alarm to go off, the fire dept to show up or the hotel staff to inform us what was happening. After the alarm stopped we came inside and approached the desk clerk who told us they were having trouble with the sprinkler system, the alarm went off the week before because of the problems. The next night at approx. 2:40am another alarm was going off, this time it was a faulty smoke detector in the room next to us. After calling the front desk to find out what the noise was we were told to go back to sleep, the button was stuck on the smoke detector in room 216. Yeah, GO BACK TO SLEEP are they kidding, two alarms in two nights. After checking previous reviews I saw someone else wrote in July that the fire alarm went off when they were staying there also. TIME TO FIX THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM. The worst thing about the whole situation was when the desk clerk (Seima) told us it didn't happen........because the clerk who was on duty didn't put it in the log book. If you stayed at this hotel and had the misfortune of this happening to you please write.
