We stayed here this past weekend. The inn is beautiful and we loved the way it is decorated.
I fell in love with their King bed with pillowtop. It was like sleeping in a nest. :-) Hotel is within
walking distance of dock and all the local shops. Can walk to numerous restaurants and or bars. We would stay again and we recomend this hotel.

Room Tip: choose the room with the king bed

Our son chose the Historic Inns out of many locations in the DC area for his wedding. We stayed in the Governor Calvert House which was also where the ceremony was held. If you like historic areas then this is for you, with the state capitol building, the harbor and the Naval academy right there within walking distance as well as great restaurants serving up Maryland seafood. Although we did not have enough time with all the wedding festivities, there are many little shops in the area. Our room was decorated in period pieces and the staff was very attentive. Thanks for making our son's wedding a memorable one!

Once again, the Lord Calvert Inn became our home for the October Sailboat Show, and it was even more appreciated due to the downpours and cool temps. It's charm and cozy atmosphere inside and its proximity to the harbor definitely made it the perfect location. In addition, the continental breakfast allowed us to leisurely prepare for the day, without having to go out in the rain for coffee and treat. The staff consistently over the years is very professional, friendly, and helpful, and seeing management on site assures that its high standards are being maintained. There are also excellent restaurants within steps of the front door and the shops on Maryland Avenue are worth a visit. As always, we look forward to our next stay.

Dear LeisureTimeTraveler:

Thank you for your feedback. I am so happy you have stayed with us consistently over time and that we helped to brighten a rainy weekend. I did learn, however, that Sailors are not typically deterred by rain and that certainly seems to have been the case with you! I was very proud to read how well you felt we did for you. You must come see us at times other than Sailboat; Annapolis is great any time of year and with many different things happening at any given time.

We value your patronage and look forward to welcoming you back again soon. Sincerely,

We enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely & clean. The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of Annapolis. There was no coffee maker in the room, so you had to go downstairs to get it in the morning. The banquet facilities were very nice. We attended a wedding reception there.

We have stayed here many times and always enjoyed our stays--so much that our daughter select the Historic Inns' Gov. Calvert House for her wedding reception in April 2013. Everything was perfect--no faux pax for this hotel! This last visit was a quick in and out for a Navy football game. The room was perfect, staff very courteous, and a very convenient location--walkable to the stadium. Thanks for another great stay.

Dear DanaP:

Thank you for your feedback. I was gratified to read that you felt your was “very clean” and that we had a “great staff.” I was disappointed you stated we did not accurately portray rooms on our website. I will work with our website administrators to ensure that pictures are accurate and will ensure a note is put on the captions that our pictures are “samples.” Since we are not a cookie cutter hotel our rooms are not all the same and you are factually correct in that one queen room in one building may be different in layout and look than other queens in other building or even in the same buildings. This is due to the historic nature of the buildings and their physical features. I appreciate your bringing this to my attention.

I would be able to respond more specifically to both the room type concern other than what I have stated above, as well as the length of stay concern but without more information it is difficult for me to do so. Regardless, your feedback will help us improve.

Have a great day and we hope you will visit Annapolis again. Thank you.

We stayed in the 2 story suite at the Robert Johnson House. it was wonderful, clean, 2 full bathrooms. the location is perfect, we parked our car and didn't use it until we left for home.
Staff was very helpful, friendly in offering advice about Annapolis (it was our first time visiting).
We would highly recommend the Inns, and look forward to returning again.

Room Tip: We discovered the Suite via another Tripadvisor review. perfect walk out the door right onto the lov...
