Crossroads Cafe is a very popular family restaurant just off rt. 119 in Acton. You don't notice it from the street because it is set back in Nagog Plaza, most of which is empty right now. It's menu is varied and offers steaks, fish and chicken, some Italian selections, Mexican food, soups, salads, sandwiches and various specials. Entrees are all served with vegetables and potatoes, and bread if you want it. So, there's pretty something for everyone here. I had a crock of onion soup which was decent and a Caesar salad (which actually comes with anchovies if you want them) topped with sirloin steak. Some menu options sound really great, like Steak with green peppercorns, and they offer both a grilled Reuben sandwich and a lobster roll. There is a full service bar with a not very extensive, but pretty decent wine selection. Glasses of wine are very generous, and you can order 1/2 glass if you prefer. They offer a nice selection of desserts and the night I was there, the special was homemade apple pie which in this area of Massachusetts, could be a real treat. The service at this restaurant is really first rate and prices are reasonable for the food served. There's nothing gourmet here, but it's a very pleasant, comfortable place with good food.

Unless you are lucky enough to have your name at the top of the call-in list, there may be a wait for a table at this uber-popular cafe! The menu is simple, with wholesome choices, great salads, and daily specials - something to please everyone at reasonable prices. The service is brisk and friendly, the bar offers generous servings of wine and beer, many choices on tap and in bottles. The owner cruises the tables, shaking hands, greeting regular and new customers like old friends. It has been our family's go-to choice for 20 years.

TOo many drunk, loud and obnoxious people at the bar. It is VERY loud - with shrill laughter and loud voices.

My wife & I moved to Acton in 1996 and discovered this restaurant in the Spring of 1997. We have been going ever since a couple times a month. We eat mostly at the long bar on Friday nights watching Bartenders Glen & Tasha work the crowd. There are lots of regulars and friends we have developed over the years. While many places have come and gone Crossroads has been a fixture in the area since the mid 80s.
