A sport is a genetic variant that appears unexpectedly. In a town dotted with distinctive and encouraging shops, Henion's stands out as a hole-in-the-wall family bakery. You can get drinks, not-too-decadent baked goods, conversation, directions, and recommendations for a visitor from out of town.

The oatmeal scone is sweet in a restrained way, and they can pour a touch of hazelnut flavor into milk, producing a cup of milk tinged with a pleasant extra flavor and scent. Taste it. Is that good? Do you want a little more?

Friendly owners, good service, fine coffee, good breads made in store, the best challah in the Pioneer valley in Mass

Very friendly owners, excellent pastries, fine breads, good coffee, and the best challahs, made by the proprietors, in the entire Pioneer Valley of Mass.

Large variety of breads. And danish and cakes! Delicious coffee choices. Not very large bakery but makes up for size in quality.

David Henion and his wife run the whole operation. Everything is baked from scratch on the premises. They do wedding cakes too. If you want to stay a while grab a cup of coffee which they offer, a pastry, and a newspaper and relax at one of their 2 seater tables. We especially like the Russian Tea Cake but everything is good. If you see someone in the back it will probably be David. He has the ability to carry on a lively conversation without stopping his work.

I would not characterize this place as good for the caloric-conscious customer, unless, of course, you really want to gain weight. For those of us who need to do the opposite, the word Henion has the sound of a Siren song. Tempting, delicious, and really really dangerous. Eat at your own risk...you're going to love it.
