Stone House Farm Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #4 of 12 Amherst B&B and Inns

My husband and I stayed here while visiting our son at UMass. It was a very pleasant stay. The innkeeper was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area. . . Very helpful about day trips, etc.
Breakfast was amazing, and the place in general was very charming. Make sure you walk through her gardens, and make friends with the goats. It was like being in a country oasis in the middle of a college town!

Had the great pleasure of spending some time at Stone House Farm recently and it exceeded my expectations! Every detail was well thought out and executed flawlessly.
Candi, the innkeeper is a high energy person that takes care of gardens and grounds - as well as the over the moon delicious breakfasts! The meals served are local and seasonal (when I was there). She has this incredible ability to take simple ingredients and whip up a masterpiece! So yummy!
I stayed in the downstairs suite which was spacious and quiet. There might have been a bit of road noise, but it honestly did not effect my sleep. I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the perfect pillow! Also, the sheets were crisp white - which were amazing!
Cannot wait to come back into this area so I can stay here again. It is paradise on earth and Candi is an angel!

Room Tip: If you need one queen size bed, choose the downstairs suite - it's spacious and very comfortable...

This past weekend (5/2/14-5/3/14) marked our (my wife and I) third stay at Stone House Farm. As usual, our stay was outstanding. The atmosphere and the gardens are unlike anywhere we've ever been. It is becoming so familiar and comfortable to us that it kind of feels like home. And not only is Candi a gifted gardener (the grounds are absolutely beautiful) and most welcoming host, she is also an amazing cook and baker. Special treats this time around included fresh-baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and bran muffins...still warm...mmmm, good! And of course, the Puff Pancake is our absolute favorite. Even though our son has transferred schools and won't be returning to UMass, we will be returning to Stone House Farm.

Room Tip: First floor suite is perfect with easy access to the front porch, where we have our breakfast.

Warm hospitality, charming accommodations, delicious food, and the two best B&B cats ever--Bruce and Sophie--made our stay at the Stone House Farm Bed and Breakfast a delight from beginning to end. Thanks so much, Candi! We'll be back.

We enjoyed our stay in this B&B. We were in the downstairs suite, and it was very spacious and comfortable, with a bedroom and a sitting area with couch, TV, table and chairs. Breakfast is served in the suite each morning, with plentiful, fresh, homemade food. There is a small closet off the sitting area with a microwave, mini fridge, kettle for tea (with tea selection), coffee maker with coffee selection, and snacks such as trail mixes and pretzels, all complimentary. The WiFi works fantastic. Basic toiletries are provided. It was chilly when we were there, but the heating system worked perfectly. The entire suite is extremely clean. The B&B is a five minute drive from charming downtown Amherst. The only challenge might be the street noise-- the inn is located on a major thoroughfare, and the bedroom is just a few feet from the road. Even though Western Mass is rural, cars do drive by well into the night. My partner did not find the street noise distracting and slept perfectly, but I am a light sleeper and had difficulty with the "whoosh" of the cars; I say this only so other light sleepers can forewarned. Earplugs will help, and there's a fan in the closet you can turn on for additional white noise! :)

We stayed 2 nights in this ideal inn. We stayed in the blue room, which has a private entrance. It is large, with a sitting room, with sofa and dining table. In good weather you can enjoy the enclosed porch for reading or breakfasting.
The decor is lovely; the bed comfortable. Our room had fresh dahlias from the garden. The very nice hostess brings breakfast to your room. It was excellent. We had fruit cup and granola, then eggs and toast. The raspberries were fresh from her garden. One morning the pear had sauce made from fruit from the garden.
We enjoyed walking around her garden and yard. We made acquaintance with a couple of adorable goats.
We loved everything about our stay. It feels rural, yet just 10 minutes up the road is Amherst.

I was traveling with my wife and 2 boys, ages 4 and 9, and Stonehouse Farm was an wonderful experience for all of us. We were cozy in the 2 bedroom suite with warm comfortable bedding, spacious, sweetly decorated rooms and kitchenette, coffee maker and snacks for convenience. Candi was so warm and welcoming. We really felt connected to her from the first day. Her breakfasts of puff cakes ad eggs with her garden fresh fruits and vegetables were just incredibly delicious. Our boys were thrilled to run and play out side among the colorful gardens and towering trees. They loved watching the chickens and goats and picking some fresh raspberries. We just really did not want to leave. Thanks Candi and Tom for helping to make a memory we will simply cherish, and we hope to return in the spring!
