I've been in and out of London bar for over a decade on trip to MK and it's gone evolved along with the city over the years. The latest trip was catching up with a family friend and we had a pleasant few hours sitting out and enjoying a charcuterie plate and cocktails. The food is good and some of it provides a safety net for us atlantic islanders when the need for a real breakfast strikes :-)
Cocktails are relatively cheap and there's a reasonably interesting list.
One thing to note, the outdoor area is in the shade in the evening (or at least it is in may) so good for keeping cool on a hot summers day but perhaps missing out a bit on nice spring evenings.
Staff were very helpful without being intrusive and we never del under any pressure to move along, sometimes a problem with busy city centre locations.
The position on the edge of the main pedestrainised square makes it good for people watching and taking restless kids for a short walkabout (the huge fountain is a great kids distraction when some of the adults would like a break though needs supervision)
