The stone bridge is one of the eldest things in skopje: the bridge that crosses the vardar river, from the main square to the old bazaar. Just forget the stupid statues that surround you, and the awful buildings that look like disneyland across the river. The bridge is great, and it leads you directly to the awesome old bazaar: which is still not too "polluted" by tourists, qhere you can see locals eating, drinking, going out at night and have fun. The stone bridge is a mandatory landmark in the city, cross it, enjoy the history of it, and go to the old bazaar to drink and eat, or just walking around watching the mix between ethnic macedonians and albanians walking or hanging around in the same places.
