Poor internet connection lost frequently
Moderate breakfast
Good reception
Good Service staff name is Attila in breakfast
Smell from the drainage in toilets
Old bathroom and needs decalcifying Every where
Poor sauna rooms smalı but sauna aroma
Not enough water in the showers in Pool Area after sauna and hot water is problematic even you want the reception was same after a month.
Poor old TVs in the room not working remoth controllers probabely not funtioning due to old KEY boards and weak battaries.
Safe in the room smalı and not fixed somebody can take the safe box and your belongings together if they can fins the room entry data from the CCTV
May these are normal for the price but ı dont think it is so cheap to bear all these.
It was company paid and No idea about the price at all but ı guess not so cheap comparing Queens hotel in Skopje.

Had a long chat with management last time I was here, only 1 cd was ever played, front terrace could look attractive but candles lasted 1 day, so much potential but just not used. 5 star breakfast it wasn't, even then baine marie's weren't lit so 'hot' food was cold, OJ was yuk... 2nd stay (not my choice) no improvement

Room Tip: Choose X02 to X05 as they look over the Stone Bridge

dark a little outdated rooms, basic friendly staff, odd and loud music in elevators, rich breakfast, internet of poor quality.
This is certainly not a 5 star hotel. It is a normal 3 star hotel (not 4, not 5).

We stayed here on a Wilderness Travel trip, so we don't really know what the room cost.
It had a river view, very comfy bed and reasonably good shower (yes, degree in "Macedonian Shower Operations" would be helpful). A/C worked fine (100 degrees F outside, we got 18 C. inside without problem) and at every turn the staff was both smiling and helpful to the utmost. Perhaps they had read Trip Advisor!
The breakfast was outstanding (in our subsequent experience of 6 or 7 hotels elsewhere in the country) and a reasonably good espresso can be purchased right in the breakfast room (the restaurant) if you prefer that to the coffee or tea on offer. The whole city of Skopje is a vast building site, currently, and this hotel, right
at the center of the oldest part of the city (the original "old stone bridge" replaced an extant crossing in the 4th c. A.D.), naturally is also at the center of the building frenzy. Some of the noise is due to construction, but also to the presence of excited tourists enjoying themselves into the wee hours. On the 4th floor, we weren't too bothered by this, but we were aware.
I think one might ask for a quiet room on the opposite side. We certainly felt the management
was trying hard to please!

Room Tip: Perhaps rooms facing away from the river/view would be quieter. Ask the staff.

Rooms are nor big but nice and classy in a pleasant way.
Shower requires a degree in Macedonian Shower Operations.
Air conditioning did not work despite 28 degrees outside. I complained but staff explained that they can only either turn on the heating or have AC operate, and it was still heating season.

Windows are not insulated and the barking of stray dogs in the street is annoying.

Reception staff have the welcoming look on their face that says: "how dare you disturb me in my lunch break."

The restaurant has a great view over the city and the food was impeccable, really good, but the TV with a football match was on throughout dinner (and disturbingly loud), giving an otherwise stylish restaurant a workers and peasants atmosphere. I addressed that (particularly given that only staff were watching whereas other guests also seemed annoyed) but it was explained as being "normal here".

The water in the pool was so cold that it was virtually impossible to swim in, the sauna was turned off and the jacuzzi had no water in it.

Post Cold War Pseudo-Baroque style is heavy (as is customary in the region) but not "terrible" (I concede that is a matter of taste), the pieces of art on the walls however are monstrous and will shock any conoisseur of contemporary art. Better have them taken off altogether.

This hotel definitely has the potential to be 5 stars, but it seems to me that it simply has an absent management. You could make a lot more out of it.

My flight got in at 1am being delayed from Belgrade and the staff gave me the quickest and easiest reception! Excellent and friendly staff, great breakfast, and the hotel itself is exquisite and palatial. It's not the cheapest, but it's close to everything (museums, shopping and the old town) and in a nice quiet spot. Be careful of taxi drivers, the quote very high. The driver from the airport quoted my 4500 (MDs) to get to Popova Sapka and the hotel arranged it for 3500 for me! (About US$25 cheaper)
