“Not a happy experience”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

Having visited this restaurant before I had reasons to expect at least one great fish course on the menu. Instead they had one rather conventional course of salmon. To try somthing out of the ordinary I ordered whale meat but were served quail. Can you top that? The waiter said that it must have been some misunderstanding and inplied that it had been my mistake. To save some time I took the quail which was a little dry but tasted all right.

“Surprisingly good food in Nuuk”
Reviewed 27 May 2013

The restaurant is on the top floor of the Hans Egede Hotel in Nuuk. The interior of the restaurant has a distinct 90's feeling, but the food is surprisingly good. We tried the set dinner menues two days in a row - reindeer, whale, seal and musk ox - prepared with local ingredients. The food was really good - and the wine list also contained some good wines. The price is rather high - but it was worth the money. The service was excellent.

“Great culinary experience with local flavour”
Reviewed 20 April 2013

This hotel is located at the 5th floor of the Hotel Hans Egede. It is said to be one of the best in Nuuk and I agree. We came her for both lunch and dinner. They offer a variety of dishes of international standard and with great local ingredients and culinary traditions from Greenland including musk ox, reindeer and fish. Service was great and our waiter was very informative and helpful. The view to the mountains and the sea is outstanding. The prices were reasonable for this standard. This restaurant is recommended for the service and the variety of local tasty dishes.

“Just average”
Reviewed 16 December 2012

A bit too fancy for nothing really. Serving the courses on huge square plates doesn't make the taste any better. Vegetarians have to clal in advance to be sure the chef will serve you and you can be sure to pay a sturdy price for a nothing but an omelet and some risotto.
