My husband, a good friend and I stayed a week in the cooler months, and found the house very comfortable, well equipped and cosy. Having the two bathrooms made it very practical. The ever changing view of Phillip Island was spectacular. We were given a car and a phone for the week which worked well. By the end of the week we felt we knew our way around the winding roads. We made our vacation to coinside with Bounty Day which was a privilege to be at. I would love to stay in the the warmer months and make use of the picnic basket, the BBQ and deck that looked fantastic. Thanks Bec for your friendly, welcoming and helpful tips. Regards Angela
Cottage is quiet, spacious, beautifully decorated, peaceful and great location for day trips. Just excellent. Everything you need !! Rebecca was wonderful particularly when flight home cancelled and delayed a day. She kept us up to date with revised flight times and took care of additional car hire and night at cottage. Was a fabulous holiday on Norfolk. Thanks Rebecca.
We have been visiting Norfolk Island for over 10 years and this is our second stay at Whitewood Sea and we wouldn't consider staying anywhere else for our future trips.
This is an excellent self-catering property with all the modern conveniences you would expect, at a standard that lends this property to be given an excellent rating.
All the comforts of home, quality inclusions, the extra little things, ultimate privacy and views that you never tire of, all combine to make this the perfect 'home away from home' while you discover all the wonders that Norfolk Island has to offer.
We travel as a couple, but this property would also suit two couples or four singles with the available bedding configuration. There is ample room in the indoor living areas but who would want to spend time inside when the huge deck beckons you?
This, our second stay at Whitewood Sea, was better than the first and that's because we stayed for two weeks. We even had time to enjoy a soak in the beautiful deep bath.
If you want a top quality, private self-catering property in a great location, stop looking and book Whitewood Sea now!
Thanks Bec for another wonderful stay and we'll see you again soon.
Based on previous reviews and the view, I booked Whitewood Sea as a surprise 50th birthday holiday for my husband.
After our short flight from Sydney we were warmly greeted at the airport by Bec, who guided us to Whitewood Sea and gave us a very comprehensive tour and plied us with an incredible amount of information for our stay on Norfolk.
Bec's home is fantastic - spacious, impeccably clean, modern and beautifully decorated with views that make you sigh every time you look outside.
The location is perfect for popping into town or just cruising along the coast. Nothing is too far on Norfolk anyway, but you'll find you're perfectly placed at Whitewood Sea.
Whitewood Sea gets a delicious breeze off the ocean so you'll never feel uncomfortable, even on the most humid of days - and I feel the heat!
Sitting out on the deck enjoying. a morning coffee, bbq lunch or a nightcap is just so peaceful and relaxing.
Our week here felt like a month - even with all the driving and exploring we did, it was just what we needed to slow down and enjoy all the natural beauty Norfolk has to offer.
We thoroughly enjoyed walks in the National Park and snorkelling in the bays as well as the fascinating history and fine fare the island offers. We miss all the cows and chickens wandering around and even found ourselves doing the "Norfolk wave" automatically when we returned home!
My husband absolutely loved his surprise birthday present but admitted he would never choose Norfolk as a holiday destination. However on our last day he told me he'd "miss this little place" and Norfolk Island, and after being home a week he said he hasn't stopped thinking about Norfolk and would love to return!
He took some incredible photos and video of this beautiful island so we're looking forward to returning to explore the things we didn't get time to do and to capture more of the beauty with our cameras.
Four of us shared this delightful property while attening Bird Week. It was extremly well equiped and comfortable with such a lovely view of Philip Island. Only five minutes to Kingston or seven to the shopping area at Burnt Pine. Would certainly highly recommend this as a great place to stay. Thanks to Rebecca for making us so welcome.
We would highly recommend Whitewood Sea to anyone happy to stay a few minutes drive from town. Hire car was included. Beautiful view of Phillip Island from the deck, and Rebecca couldn’t have been more accommodating. We stayed for 2 weeks with friends for their 50th birthday celebrations, and it was a home away from home. Very clean, renovations are lovely. We really enjoyed our time on Norfolk Island
We chose this property because my mum had mobility issues and it was perfect. There was a ramp up to the back verandah and a walk in shower and shower chair for her comfort.
The bedding and carpet was luxurious, as was all the furnishings. All our needs were met and more.
We spent most afternoons admiring the spectacular view and watching the chickens trek in and out the back yard!
Thank you Rebecca for making our time in Norfolk so peaceful and comfy.
