“Yummy Brunch”
Reviewed 14 May 2012

Tried Tryst for the first time. There were 4 of us and 2 got breakfast (traditional) and the other 2 got lunch. Everything looked great and tasted great. The shrimp tacos are a must have and on Sunday you have to have the spicy bloody Mary (we needed to spice ours more but we like things spicy). Service was great didn't wait long to be seated. We are going to try them for dinner. Stay tuned.

“Saturday brunch was a bust...”
Reviewed 13 April 2012

Saturday Brunch at Tryst a few weeks ago: I'm thinking this might have been the worst time for a first time visit. Our server was great (and WAY too handsome). They were offering a Restaurant Week brunch menu - one starter and one entrees. We each got a salad. Both were lightly dressed and were tasty. French toast and Eggs Beni were the entrees we chose. The French toast (with cinnamon apples) was fine - nothing to write home about. The Beni came with sausage (in place of ham)and potatoes. The sausage simply over powered everything else. Saturday brunch seems to be more of a seniors and family crowd with a B&W movie on one tv and the smurfs on another. I will definitely try Tryst again for dinner sometime but this visit did not impress.

“Great food”
Reviewed 8 April 2012

My only complaint is that the menu did a poor job of describing the dishes. Our server did a great job of describing them for us.

You should definitely try this restaurant!

“Fantastic food; try to ignore the new T.V.s”
Reviewed 31 March 2012

The food at Tryst is always outstanding. Both for brunch, lunch and dinner. The recent renovation was nice in some respects, but the dozen flat screen T.V.s make it feel like a pub/bar rather than the upscale food experience it used to be. Try to get a table in the back, so that you can appreciate your dining companions, the drinks, the food, and NOT the tvs. (If the T.V.s weren't there, I would give this a 5-star rating.)

“Yummy!”
Reviewed 13 February 2012

It was a wonderful meal. There was nothing wrong with the food, service, decor except the flat screen TVs. I felt they did not belong in the dining room of a ncie restaurant. That is the only reason I did not give them five stars.
