Bull Frog Bed & Breakfast
Ranked #2 of 3 Ashfield B&B and Inns
Reviewed 25 June 2010

Lucille offers a spotless B & B with fabulous breakfasts, cooked to order on her wood-burning stove (or a regular stove in the summer heat). We are talking home-made pancakes or waffles with maple cream or yogurt and granola or oatmeal or fruit... She raises much of the delicious food (like fresh strawberries) on her organic farm and knows the local area like the back of her hand. I was very comfortable, especially sleeping on a featherbed for the very first time. I recommend Bull Frog B & B highly and would love to go there again very soon!

We were in the area for a workshop and Bull Frog B&B was on the recommended list. Without a website and pictures I was a bit apprehensive but happily this turned out to be a charming and wonderful experience. It is a small New England Clapboard country house with a huge country kitchen. The focal point for me was the antique wood fired stove in the kitchen where Lucille cooks breakfasts 10 months a year. This small inn is impeccably clean. Wide pine floors & antique furniture are charming. Our bathroom was vintage 1970's but again spotless, huge and in good working order. Breakfasts were amazing and Lucille the innkeeper was a huge part of the charm too. Lucille also sells maple syrup and Maple cream from her son's farm. We couldn't leave without bringing some amazing maple cream home with us to have with our oatmeal and remember our breakfasts at Bull Frog B&B. I would definitely stay again.
