Seven Sea Street Inn
Ranked #4 of 38 Nantucket B&B and Inns
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 13 December 2008

My wife and I have been vacationing on Nantucket for the past 40 years and during that time we have stayed at several B&B's on the Island. Because the owners Matt and Mary Parker and their staff have always gone out of they way to be accommodating and to make us feel so comfortable, we have been going back to Seven Sea Street for the past 15 years. The rooms are clean and well furnished and if you like, the visit from Puddy the Inn cat is a plus. Breakfast served at a large table is conducive to relaxed and friendly conversation with guests and staff. The view of the harbor and the town from their widow's walk is spectacular! We are sure you will enjoy your stay at the Inn at Seven Sea Street and like us never consider staying any where else on the Island.

We are just back from our visit to Nantucket for Christmas Stroll. We stayed at our favorite B&B, Seven Sea Street. It's always a treat to stay there, especially during the Stroll. The location is perfect, on a quiet side street just a block away from the town center (rooms in the town center can be noisy). You are close to all the festivities and if you need a break to warm up or relax, the inn is just a short stroll away. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. Innkeepers Matt and Mary Parker are great hosts and very accomodating to the needs of their guests. Bang for the buck, Seven Sea Street is about as good as you can do on Nantucket . They also have a roof deck with a spectacular view of Nantucket harbor where you can while away the hours with a good book during summer visits.

Seven Sea Street is an EXCELLENT accomodation. I've been to many Inn's around the country; this one is top of the line. The Breakfast is phenominal! Home made waffles, yogurt, FRESH fruit, biscuits, muffins... and a jar of the best cookies on the mantle 24/7! Puddy will even sit with you while you munch. We were warmly welcomed at check-in, given a personal guide of the map, recommendations of sites to visit; places to eat. The Jacuzzi was wonderful, could have been a bit warmer but the most relaxing weekend I've had in years. I give this place a 100+ AA rating.

Well by the looks of things this B&B hardly needs another glowing review. We were two families who visited Nantucket for the first time last weekend, Thanksgiving weekend.
The town is very cute, and 7 Seas St is very accessible to it.
We actually stayed at the Ash lane property.
The beds were comfortable!
Make sure you stay upstairs as if you are downstairs you'll know the people upstairs intimately by the time you leave. You hear it all.
The light also shines in the front window. If you are a light sleeper this could affect you.
Apart from that it was cosy and comfortable.
Our Host, Suki, was very friendly and informative with ideas and suggestions of what to see. She added to the good weekend we had.

We have been visiting Nantucket during roses season (July) for over 25 years. About 11 years ago, we began staying at Seven Sea Street. It is a wonderful inn, well located within a few blocks of the center of Nantucket Town. The accommodations are very comfortable and regularly updated (last year new HD TVs). We took our 10 year old granddaughter a couple of years ago and she loved Puddy. We do too. Breakfasts are superb, especially the waffles and homemade coffee cakes. Matt and Mary Parker are great hosts. They are locals. Matt grew up on the island. His family has been in the inn business for years. We have watched their children grow up. They make us feel like a member of the family. You can't find a better place on the island.

The 7 Sea Street Inn looks a lot like most of the older gray-clad homes on Nantucket, but in fact it was built to be an inn more than 20 years ago. It is comfortable and welcoming, with the added benefit of modern conveniences, including a jacuzzi tub for that late afternoon soak. My wife and I have been staying at 7 Sea Street for the last 18 years, twice a year when we can do it. We think of it as our second home on Nantucket, and one can't beat the location, close to the town, with wonderful restaurants nearby. The inn comes complete with Puddy, the cat who thinks he owns the place, and will stop to have his ears scratched. You start the day with a communal breakfast, and can relax in the library when the weather is dreary. 7 Sea Street is our idea of what a Bed and Breakfast Inn should be, and we plan to return as soon as we can.

My husband and I stay @ SevenSea St.-several times a year and have for the past 5 years. We have always found the innkeepers to be very welcoming and always helpful
The inn is always immaculate, its proximity to the steamship and town make it a very comfortable place to stay-regardless of the weather and we have stayed in all kinds of weather! I always look forward to the breakfasts-especially the pear coffee cake-and enjoy the talk around the common table-we have met many interesting people and greatly enjoyed the breakfast company-We recommend SSS to people we know are planning to visit the island
