I spent two nights in the Jared Coffin House last weekend. I have spent a lot of time on Nantucket and somewhere along the way I got the impression that the Jared Coffin House was stodgy and "tired". Wow, was I wrong! The Inn is charming. My room was small but very nicely furnished and fine for a single traveler. The staff is friendly and efficient. There is no restaurant on site this year but there are lots of great (seriously, great) restaurants nearby. It wasn't too hard to get dinner reservations in the middle of June but I'd urge travelers coming during July and August to get the terrific staff at the Jared Coffin House to make your dinner reservations when you book your room.
