The owner and Innkeeper go over and beyond to make you feel like a queen. Anything Skye bakes is other worldly...so indulge while you are there! Tiki, Skye's beloved dog, is the cherry on top-making the visit feel like home. :)
Be sure have a massage there too..heavenly!
Thank you Lisa and staff!!

We stayed for two nights during the off season. The inn was convenient, comfortable and cute. Skye and Tiki were great---so welcoming and helpful. The only negative was the very creaky bed. The bathroom is small. The bed was very comfortable. Skye really went above and beyond, making dinner reservations for us and even offering rides. She knew the island well and was able to point us in the right direction. We had a great time.

I only stayed one night but the hospitality was great Skye and Tiki were excellent hosts. The sitting area was very cozy and the breakfast pastries were delicious. The roof walk is a great place to sit and catch a sunrise or a sun set.I would definitely stay here again. I found the inn central to down town and several restaurants, as well as a short walk to the ferry.

The Pros: The Martin House Inn is beautiful. Our room was clean and the bed and linens are top notch. The Inns keeper was also very nice. Pastries were excellent.

The Cons: It was hard to regulate the temperature in our room. It was either super hot or cold. There was a larger group also staying at the same time as us and they were very loud. They came in around 1 a.m. and talked very loudly for well over an hour even yelling down the hall at each other. They also woke us up the next morning once again yelling down the hall. They were never asked to lower their voices.

The Martin House is a nice place to stay if quiet time is put in place and informed.

We stayed at Martin House over a chilly President's Day weekend and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The inn is very close to main part of town, and the off-season prices are pretty unbeatable considering the convenient location. Our room was cozy and warm, and although we were the only people on the floor, the shared bathroom was definitely large enough to accommodate more than three people's hygienic needs.

As outstanding as the accommodations were, Skye was by far the best part of our stay. She was friendly, helpful, and an incredible scone baker (and also a great hostess during wine and cheese.) It's worth it to stay at Martin House just to hear her stories and pick her brain about Nantucket life. If only we could afford to return during the peak season!

Room Tip: Apparently we got lucky and ended up in a room on the "warm side" of the house - third flo...

The Martin House is a wonderful place for a weekend or a week. We arrived late on Friday night; Skye and her wonderful dog were there to greet us. She was full of advice as to what was going on all weekend, what places were in walking distance, and how to get to the rest. Skye was available to chat about the island and also gave us the time alone. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The homemade scones for breakfast were amazing. The location was wonderful as it was close enough to the ferry that we could walk there and everywhere. Thank you Skye, you and your hospitality, along with the light and fluffy snow made it a magical weekend.

We've been coming for several years now and Skye always makes our stay feel special. Wine and cheese one evening and special goodies ... it feels like home in a beautiful sea captain's house. We've already booked for next year as Stroll in Nantucket is so much fun when we stay here. Skye is so helpful ith regard to updates on local restaurants and events. It's the best way we can think of to kickoff the wonderful Christmas season!
