Cliff Lodge has bright, cheery rooms of all shapes and sizes, and Sally, the innkeeper, makes everyone feel at home. A short walk to downtown Nantucket or to Brant's Point allows you to walk off the breakfast of homemade scones, muffins, and granola. Reading and relaxing nooks abound--from the tree-lined patio to the chair-bedecked widow's walk. You can have your privacy or join in the wine & cheese parties and teas that Sally hosts. Not recommended for people who have a hard time with stairs, or who want a fast paced vacation.

As seasoned Nantucket travelers we found Cliff Lodge to be excellent! The location is perfect for a simple Nantucket experience. The innkeeper was very friendly and professional and the rooms were clean and adorable. We will defiantly be returning there in the future!

This was our first trip to Nantucket, and we were thrilled with our experience. The Cliff Lodge is perfectly located near the main part of town, the ferry docks, and the Brant Rock lighthouse. The innkeeper couldn't have been more pleasant and welcoming. Our room was a nice size (King size room, private bath, two cozy chairs and a fireplace) and the Inn was very clean and warm. We would absolutely visit again and would also recommend it to others as a place to stay.

The Cliff Lodge is everything you would expect a B&B on Nantucket to be, warm and comfortable, with a friendly staff. Yes, some rooms are small, but that's normal on Nantucket. It's not a standard-issue chain hotel destination. Baked goods were very tasty, beds comfortable, and reading lamps well placed. The Cliff is also close to Town without being too close to the traffic or noise. My only complaint during our cold January stay was that we paid for a room with a fireplace, and there was no wood or pre-fab log provided, and since it was after 7pm the staff was off duty and wouldn't help.

My husband and I stayed at Cliff Lodge for a much needed retreat. The property is conveniently located for anyone taking a ferry to the island. You can walk from Main Street in about 10 minutes. You can also walk to Jetties Beach in about 15 minutes. The property is well-kept and clean. The grounds are dotted with beautiful flowering shrubs and trees. There are several nice outdoor seating areas for reading or relaxing. We stayed in one of the suites so the room was plenty big. The bed was very comfortable. The furnishings and decor are a bit dated, but in a quaint fashion. The bathroom would benefit from some updating, but it was clean and functional. Sally, the inn-keeper, was very hospitable and put out plates of homemade cookies every afternoon. Breakfast was also very good with fabulous homemade muffins and scones. All in all, a very nice place to stay. This property is for someone who enjoys charm over luxury.

We stayed at Cliff's Lodge in early August. Here is a breakdown of our experience:

Pros:
* The innkeeper was friendly.
* Breakfast, which mainly consisted of scones, cereal and coffee was OK.
* General use rooms are well maintained.

Cons:
* Our room was incredibly small. I'm 5'7 and could literally reach my arms from one end of the room to the other. If you book a room on the third floor, you need to be aware of this. This was our #1 issue with the Lodge [we expected small and got tiny].
* While not my highest priority, you should be aware that the TV is tiny (about 10") with no remote.
* Our bathroom door would not stay shut.
* The room looked old and it looked run down.

While we mainly explored Nantucket and did not spend much time in our room, the accommodations were below our expectations.
