We stayed here at the recommendation of my son who was getting married on Nantucket.
Though it is a few miles from the harbor they do offer a free shuttle back and forth from the harbor.
It is near the airport.
Many of the pilots stay there repeatedly.

Room tip: We stayed in one of the back buildings which are quieter.

The Inn was fabulous!. Wonderful, clean and airy rooms in a very charming setting. We can't say enough, when it comes to the lovely staff, who no matter what you needed, they effortlessly made it happen. From the awesome breakfast served daily, to their shuttle service, to their humor and smiles, and can do attitude. They made our visit to Nantucket memorable and pleasurable. Thank you to all the wonderful staff who we got to know and shared many laughs with. Barbara and Penny, biker chicks

Went to Nantucket for a weekend wedding. The Nantucket Inn is an easy short walk from the airport, just like it says on their website. We stayed in a King Cottage room. Very pleasant. Coffee is available in the room, but I'm a coffee snob...don't need to go there. Clean and everyone was helpful. They shuttle you into town and back. The pools are well kept. They supply a breakfast. Not what I expected when I read "next to the airport". Rustic, clean and pleasant. Even though I found Nantucket to be overly ostentatious, it did not effect my satisfaction with the Nantucket Inn.

Thank you GotaGo2Da! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Nantucket Inn and we hope you enjoyed the wedding. We were less happy to hear that you weren't overly impressed with Nantucket in general. Perhaps a second visit without a wedding agenda would be more enjoyable. In any event, we thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service to beaches and town was easy to use and the pool and breakfast were excellent. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.

I stayed here for one night this past weekend. This is a charming hotel located directly across from the airport. Here is a quick summary of our stay:

Pros: Clean, warm service the people at the front desk are super friendly and very helpful. They serve a full breakfast buffet which is included with your stay. The buffet included eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries, waffles, pancakes, toast, bagels, fruit and pastries. It was very good.

Cons: The hotel is not far from downtown but you cannot really walk it. They offer a shuttle that leaves the hotel on the hour, but if you only there for a few days and you slept in and missed it your choices are to wait for the next one or take a taxi which costs about $18 to town. I think the hotel should have the shuttles working every 30 minutes vs. every hour that would truly make a big difference.

The rooms are nice but we were located in the far building it's short little walk. Given that I think the rooms should have minibars available with water, soda and snacks so if you wake up thirsty in the middle of the night you have options. They do have a vending machines and I did purchase water so we had it in our rooms but if you forgot there is only tap water.

The bed are ok comfortable, would recommend feather pillows vs. foam and the comforters need to go, they are heavy and almost like a vinyl finish to them I really did not find them to be comfortable at all.

Other than that it a cute hotel. I can't say I would stay here again but I think I would look for something closer to town like the Beachside or White Elephant.
