I booked this at the last minute, and was fortunate to get 2 consecutive nights on the island during peak season, for less than 400 a night. Scott at check in was so nice and helpful. I had a third floor room which consisted of queen bed, beautiful sky-lit bathroom and a small adjacent "room" that he told me did not make code for putting bunk beds into, so they were trying to figure out what to do with it. The location is perfect..a 10 minute stroll up Main St. from the ferry. Its very quiet because you are just beyond the shops. As noted in other reviews it is newly decorated...although not really to my taste...sort of beach-chic meets industrial...it looks very pretty and clean. The problems I experienced were...AC that did not shut off. Ever. My room was freezing the whole time (and the second floor was too warm) He told me they would be getting the units "adjusted" in a few days so hopefully that will happen. They preserved the pine flooring in my room, which is nice, except that in a high traffic spot (just before the bathroom) there were knots in the wood that were open and I kept stubbing my foot on the uneven surface. My shower stall was very small. Beautiful...but tiny, difficult to maneuver around in (and I am 5'2" and not heavy) The breakfast area is nice, but very unorganized, I thought. No garbage accessible to coffee, plates one place, utensils somewhere else, food laid out in multiple spots around the kitchen, people walking into each other...it just needs a little fine tuning in that regard. But honestly, overall I think its a great place and a decent "value" (f there is such a thing on Nantucket in the summer!!!) It was a lovely base for my excursions around the island and I think I will come back next summer, too...after a lot of these issues have been remedied.
