I had a great two night stay. This new hotel (connected to The Veranda House) has a great mix of modern style & amenities (Apple TV & iPads) in a historic house. It is in a great location, and loved the continental breakfast (homemade scones, fresh juice and make-your-own yogurt parfait.

Room Tip: Room 6 is a little small, but cozy. The bathroom is also a little small. I could hear people coming...

Thanks to tripadvisor reviews, we booked three nights at Chapman House and were not disappointed. Centrally located, it is a brief walk from the ferry and to all downtown Nantucket has to offer ... and it is convenient to the bike trail...yet blissfully quiet. This boutique-style inn is perfectly decorated and it is clean, clean, clean. Did I mention clean? What a pleasure! There is a lovely outside garden area as well as inside common areas. An iPad in every room is a nice touch. Innkeepers and other staff are very pleasant and helpful. Lots and lots of fresh fruit, plus assorted pastries and cereals for breakfast...coffee and teas throughout the day....and freshly baked cookies in the afternoon. Bed was too soft for my liking...my only criticism.

It's a bit confusing, but the Veranda House and Chapman House are on the same property but run separately, with separate common and breakfast areas. My understanding is that the Chapman House is recently renovated, and they did a terrific job with it.

The building itself is classic Nantucket style on the outside but with modern-style interior furnishings. It is kept exceptionally clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast can be taken inside or outside, both pleasant settings. Nate the innkeeper provides excellent service and is always there - I mean, literally all the time. I think like many hotels in the area, there are beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas available for guests to use. Luggage can be stored in the common areas on departure day and there is a bathroom with shower available for use even after checking out if you want to hit the beach or go for a bike ride before your ferry departs.

The location is very good - a quick 5 minute walk to Main St and a 5-10 min bike ride to Jetties beach.

We got a deal on the room by booking at the last minute - see the "hot deals" on the website. At $300, our room was good value, particularly for a hotel on Nantucket.

We stayed at the Chapman House for a long weekend and had a perfect experience. We were warmly welcomed by the innkeeper Nate, and he made sure we had an excellent stay. The room was extremely clean and nicely decorated, and we found the bed to be extremely comfortable. Each morning we awoke to a fantastic continental breakfast, and when we returned from our beach outings in the afternoon we were greeted with fresh baked cookies, tea, and coffee. We will definitely be returning and would fully recommend staying here if you visit Nantucket.

We stayed at Chapman House for a long 4-day weekend and had a wonderful time. The hotel is decorated beautifully and our room was comfortable if small (though small was expected). Loved the linens! Nate ran the hotel and really made the place feel like home. Breakfast was excellent each day and the homemade cookies available each night were a nice treat. Add to that the relaxed policy of early check in, beach towels + tote in each room and beach chairs available for use and I would highly recommend Chapman to anyone. Enjoy!

I stayed here with my girlfriend for 3 nights in early August, 2013. I was in Nantucket for a friends wedding. The rooms here were very charming and cozy. The grounds are also very beautiful, with little garden seating area's scattered all over the property. The staff were unbelievable, they made amazing restaurant recommendations (If you get a chance dine at Cru, it was superb!). As well, they also made the reservations and reminded me about them. Not only would the staff be happy to oblige with any of your requests, they would also literally bake fresh cookies daily and offer them to you on the house, AND WOW those were AWESOME cookies! Sure it's not the cheapest place to stay, but that's Nantucket for you, it's just an expensive Island. With that said, I would highly recommend this place. Had an absolutely wonderful time

Chapman House has a great location and makes staying in town easy by providing a parking pass. Nate provided good advice about places to go and see. Room 10 was nice and quiet, but the parts of the ceiling are a bit low for a person over 6 feet tall. Enjoyed the fine linens and quality bath products.
