The Dreamland Theater was done over just recently and it's a great place for a show, benefit, or even a cocktail party. The view of Nantucket Harbor from the patio is amazing. Prices are reasonable, not a phrase often heard on the island, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The matinees are a great respite to get the kids out of the sun as shade is hard to come by on ACK. Right next store are multiple shops and restaurants (Nicks for a burger; Annie & the T's for clothing), but parking is limited. Biking is your best bet.

This was a great location for the Nantucket Film Festival to show the majority of their films and events. Right in the heart of town. Comfy seats and when you needed to get fresh air - their balcony had a gorgeous view.

We saw a movie upstairs in the studio. It consisted of director chairs of different heights, on different levels. Small showing but comfortable. The facilities have been renovated and the place is beautiful. You can buy tickets online or 1 hour before the show starts. We were able to purchase tickets in advance. Small assortment of candy, popcorn, salads, and desserts.

I took the kids to see a movie and thought it was a nice small town movie experience. The theater is beautiful. The movie was in the upstairs screening room with the directors chairs. They were actually quite comfortable. Though I was a bit nervous that one of my kids would spill their drinks as there were no cup holders so you either put your drink on an empty seat or balanced it on two chair arms. Lovely bathrooms. A nice place to see a movie especially off season when it is not too crowded and there is less to do on the island. Would definitely go back!

My husband and I went to the dreamland theatre this summer on a rainy night in Nantucket. I am so glad we did! The theatre was stunning. What a gem in the heart of this beautiful island. Everything was sparkling clean from the theatre to the bathrooms. I heard some chatter about uncomfortable chairs but we must have been in a different room as ours were nice and comfy. Concessions were good – the usual pick of candy and popcorn. I cannot wait to come back next year to this lovely place – it makes a rainy day on an island much more enjoyable.
